This 2021 Toyota GR Yaris is a nearly-new example of the hot hatch hero, which is presented in superb condition throughout. Under the bonnet is the 1.6-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine, which produces 257bhp and 265lb-ft of torque, and drives all four wheels via a six-speed manual transmission. Bidders should note that this car does not have the Convenience or Circuit Packs – it is a standard model running on the slightly more compliant suspension and with Dunlop tyres. The odometer displays 2,800 miles from new.

Designed for the rally stage first and the road second, the GR Yaris is a true homologation special, which was launched in 2020 to widespread praise; sweeping the board with numerous ‘Hot Hatch of the Year’ and even ‘Car of the Year’ awards. Far-removed from the standard, economy-focused Yaris, the GR features full-time four-wheel-drive, a carbon-fibre roof and a lightweight aluminium bonnet and doors. This, combined with one of the most powerful three-cylinder engines ever produced, allows it to sprint from 0-62mph in just 5.5 seconds, and on to an electronically limited top speed of 142mph.

First registered on 22 January 2021, this standard GR Yaris was specified with Pure White paintwork, and is offered directly from its only owner, who has thoroughly enjoyed a few months behind the wheel, and has kept the car in very good order.

Given its age, it should come as little surprise that this GR Yaris’ bodywork is still pristine, with no dents or other panel damage to speak of. The paintwork is similarly impressive, with only a few minor stone chips on the front bumper from the car’s road use. Furthermore, the body trims, light lenses and glass are still in great shape, with the same being the case for the 18-inch, 15-spoke alloy wheels.

Moving inside, the cabin is in as-new condition, and features sport seats clad in black GR Ultrasuede fabric, with leather bolsters and headrests, which is accented by red stitching. The steering wheel, gear lever gaiter and handbrake lever are trimmed in black leather with matching red stitching, and are unmarked, while the carpets are protected by a set of black ‘GR Yaris’-branded floor mats.

While the car’s focus is undoubtedly on providing the best performance and the most engaging driving experience possible, the interior is nonetheless very well appointed. Factory-fitted equipment includes a touch-screen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android connectivity, DAB radio, as well as a reversing camera, lane departure warning, adaptive cruise control and climate control. All of the switchgear works without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

As it was first registered in January this year, the car has not yet required its first service or any other maintenance, and its first MOT test will not be due until January 2024. All four wheels are still fitted with their original Dunlop SP Sportmaxx tyres, which are in excellent condition and have ample tread remaining.

Accompanying this GR Yaris are all of its original handbooks, its V5C and its GardX protection kit.
