• An as-new example of Ford’s ‘unrestricted’ track car, designed to showcase the full performance capabilities of the latest GT model chassis and engine.
  • It is powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.5-litre EcoBoost V6, producing more than 700hp, driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
  • This car is one of just 45 cars to be built over a three-year period.
  • The MkII is named after the famous generation of the original GT40, which placed first, second, and third in the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans.

  • The most recent generation of the Ford GT has already experienced considerable motorsport success, but the racing car is by design a limited version of the vehicle to meet various FIA regulations.
  • Ford built the GT MkII as an ‘unleashed’ version of the supercar, not governed by any specific motorsport regulations or category criteria - purely built for outright speed on circuits.
  • There are race-derived aerodynamics including front splitter and canards, fender louvres, a vast rear wing, and underfloor routing with a rear diffuser. It is reported to be capable of generating more than 2G of lateral grip.
  • The GT MkII is more than 200lb lighter than the road car, with much of the saving down to the removal of the adjustable ride height suspension. Instead, it is equipped with five-way adjustable, race-derived Multimatic DSSV shock absorbers with a fixed ride height.
  • The bodywork features a roof-mounted air intake to feed the auxiliary engine, clutch, and transmission coolers.
  • Cooling is also enhanced with a high capacity air-to-air outboard mounted charge air cooler with water spray technology, which automatically activates in high-temperature situations to apply atomized water on the cooler.
  • It rides on lightweight forged aluminium 19-inch wheels, shod in race-specification Michelin Pilot Sport GT slicks, and housing substantial 15.5-inch front and 14.1-inch rear carbon-ceramic brake rotors.
  • Inside, the Ford GT MkII is equipped with a full FIA-compliant roll cage. There is also a bespoke Sparco racing seat with six-point harness, plus the optional passenger seat.
  • A full MoTeC data acquisition system is included, incorporating a rear camera display.

Factory options:

  • Extra wheels ($5,700)
  • Passenger seat kit ($9,230)
  • Cooling suit ($7,500)
  • MoTeC Pro ($1,750)
  • Air jack system ($18,000)
  • Safety stands ($1,000)
  • Skates ($3,200)
  • MkII Code Reader ($1,495)
  • Battery charger ($550)
  • Car cover ($1,600)

  • There is no bodywork damage whatsoever.
  • Its white paintwork is pristine, having never been driven or used on track.
  • Likewise, the interior is in as-new condition, with no wear or damage.
  • There are no electrical or mechanical faults. The car remains in delivery specification and condition.

This Ford GT MkII is surely the ultimate track toy for the collector who will not settle for half measures. An ‘unleashed’ example of the Blue Oval’s latest supercar; this GT MkII is free of the shackles of motorsport regulations, and represents a technological showcase for what Ford engineers would see as the ultimate GT racing car. It would make a truly incredible machine to enjoy on closed-course circuits, or simply a stunning addition to any collection of modern icons.
