2020 BENTLEY FLYING SPUR - FIRST EDITION

This Bentley Flying Spur is an astonishing luxury car, benefiting from a very high factory specification, and presented in genuinely outstanding condition throughout. Under the bonnet is a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 producing 626bhp, with rear-biased all-wheel drive via an eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. Its performance is remarkable: the Flying Spur is capable of 0-60mph in just 3.7 seconds, with a top speed of 207mph. The odometer shows just 2,493 miles from new.

As an early ‘First Edition’ car, this particular Flying Spur features a raft of upgrades. There are unique Union Flag badges on the C-pillars, and similar motifs on the sill tread plates. Inside, the seats are embellished with the ‘winged B’ logo embroidered onto the backrests. It is equipped with the rotating display in the dashboard, and the illuminated ‘flying B’ mascot leading the bonnet. The Mulliner Driving Specification was also fitted as standard.

First registered in March 2020, this Flying Spur was supplied by Bentley Cambridge. It has just one owner from new, and retains the balance of its original factory warranty.

The bodywork and paint is in excellent condition, with no accident damage or dents, and no unsightly scrapes or chips either. It is finished entirely in Onyx Black, with the Pearl White top half contrast colour being a removable wrap that was applied following delivery. Its front matrix grille is gloss black with a chrome surround and vertical vanes. There are also chrome fittings to the window surrounds, and as trim strips down the lower flanks.

Equipped with the Mulliner Driving features as part of the ‘First Edition’ specification, the car rides on 22-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with a highly polished finish, which are pristine. It also has a panoramic tilt-and-slide glass sunroof with twin blinds and vanity mirrors, LED headlights with variable light distribution, and the ‘Jewel’ fuel filler cap.

The cabin is trimmed in a very smart combination of Linen primary hide with Beluga black secondary features. It features full electric adjustment for the front and rear outboard seats, as well as memory settings and a massage function. The seats also have heating and ventilation, and perforated Lofted Diamond quilting throughout. There is a three-dimensional graduated diamond leather finish to the upper door panels and rear quarter panels, which adds to the interior’s contemporary appearance. The Linen hide is accented by contrast stitching, while the carpets are Beluga black to match the secondary trim. All of the smooth inlaid panels are finished in Grand Black with a chrome pinstripe along the waistrails, and the headlining is trimmed in leather.

Factory-fitted features include a heated duo-tone three-spoke steering wheel, heated front and rear armrests, electrically operated blinds for rear side windows, a glove compartment cooling system, and deep pile overmats. The Naim for Bentley premium audio system is also installed, along with an air ioniser, a Head-Up Display, inductive phone charger, mood lighting and digital radio. The standard Touring Specification package adds lane-keeping assistance, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assistance and night vision.

On the road for only four months, the car is not due its first annual service until March 2021. It is still in superb mechanical condition with absolutely no faults, and is covered by the balance of the original warranty for further peace of mind.

At launch, Evo magazine called the latest Flying Spur “as much a GT car as a limo”, concluding that it was “one of the few, if not the only, luxury car that is as good to drive as it is to be driven in”.

This Bentley Flying Spur First Edition is a supremely capable luxury car, which offers a remarkable blend of supercar pace with limousine practicality and comfort. Its smart two-tone exterior can be left as-is, or the Pearl White detail can be easily removed if preferred. Whichever appearance the next owner chooses, this is an astonishing nearly-new Bentley that will not disappoint.
