This Launch Edition Audi RS6 Avant is a potent and practical modern ‘super estate’, presented in a refined factory colour combination and with low mileage. Under the bonnet is the 592bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8, which drives all four wheels via an eight-speed semi-automatic transmission with paddle shifters, allowing this substantial family hauler to sprint from 0-62mph in a mere 3.6 seconds. The odometer displays just 4,317 miles from new.

First registered in March 2020, this Launch Edition RS6 Avant is particularly well-equipped, and is fitted with a panoramic glass sunroof, a Bang & Olufsen sound system, 22-inch five-arm alloy wheels, an enhanced RS sports exhaust system and red brake callipers. The electronic speed limiter which usually restricts the RS6 to a top speed of 155mph has also been removed, allowing the Launch Edition to reach 174mph flat-out. The car was acquired by the seller around nine months ago, and it has just one previous keeper on the V5C.

Today, its bodywork remains in superb condition, with no prior accident damage and straight, flush shut lines. The handsome Nardo Grey paintwork is also described by the vendor as being free of any marks or blemishes, and has a smooth and glossy appearance around the whole car. A black front grille, door mirrors and side-skirt inlays provide and attractive contrast, and this example has also been subtly customised with black Audi emblems at the front and rear, giving this potent performance car an even more discreetly powerful character.

This RS6 rides on a set of 22-inch five-arm alloy wheels finished in gloss black paintwork with diamond-cut edges. They generally present well, however there are some kerb scuffs on the edge of the rear passenger-side wheel, which would benefit from professional refurbishment in due course.

On stepping inside, it immediately becomes clear why modern Audis are so highly praised for the design and quality of their interiors. The front and rear seats are trimmed in luxurious black Valcona leather, with perforated centre panels and honeycomb quilting, which is accented by light contrast stitching throughout. As a result of this RS6’s limited use, the seats remain in excellent order, with no marks to their surfaces, or noteworthy creases on their bolsters.

In the centre console, the two touch screens with haptic feedback are free of any scratches, and the piano black trim which is inlaid into the dashboard is also in very good condition. The flat-bottomed steering wheel features perforated hand-grips, and shows absolutely no signs of wear, while the carpets in the cabin and the substantial load space are also in great shape.

Factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate control, heated and ventilated seats, a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system, and front and rear parking sensors. All of the car’s buttons, switches, and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights or messages displayed on the dashboard.

Given that this high-performance estate was first registered in March 2020, its first service has only just fallen due – and it will be carried out during the auction on 26 February. The vendor will provide the exact mileage at the service in due course, but it goes without saying this this nearly new Audi remains in excellent mechanical condition.

Its first MOT test is not due until 28 February 2023, and all four of its Hankook Ventus S1 Evo3 tyres are in great shape. The car will be accompanied by its V5C, previous sales invoice and two key fobs, while its service history details will be stored digitally once its first routine maintenance is required.
