This Renault Megane RS 300 Trophy is a thrilling and dynamic contemporary hot hatch, presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical order and benefitting from a recent service. It is powered by a turbocharged 1.8-litre inline-four, which produces 296bhp and drives the front wheels via a six-speed EDC automatic transmission with paddle shift, and a mechanical limited-slip differential. The odometer displays 7,500 miles from new.

As a ‘Trophy’ edition, this Renault Megane RS is equipped with a number of performance-enhancing components as standard, including its locking differential, stiffer suspension setup and valved exhaust system, plus a set of unique 19-inch black diamond-cut alloy wheels with red accents.

First registered on 29 November 2019, it was specified with Diamond Black paintwork and a range of desirable optional extras, including black Alcantara-clad heated seats, the Park Pro Pack which includes 360-degree parking sensors with a rear-view camera, adaptive cruise control, and a premium Bose sound system. As a result of its sparing use, this Gallic hot hatch’s bodywork remains in outstanding, undamaged condition, with no marks, dents or other blemishes to its panels. The exterior trim, light lenses and glass are also in very good order. This Megane RS 300 Trophy rides on its original set of 19-inch ‘Jerez’ alloy wheels, which are in good shape, however the vendor does note that there are some kerb scratches on their edges.

Far from the functional, stripped-out environments seen in some of the marque’s other hot hatches, this Renault’s cabin is fully equipped with all of the creature comforts expected in a modern vehicle. Clad in black Alcantara with red stitching, the seats are in excellent, unmarked condition, while the door cards feature carbon-effect fabric inserts, accented by customisable ambient lighting. Ahead, the ergonomic leather and Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel presents well, and puts the driver in full control while also having a suitably racy appearance.

In the centre of the dashboard, the substantial infotainment system screen presents well, with no noticeable scratches to its surface. All of the interior buttons, switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

Given this Renault’s low mileage and recent build-date, it should come as little surprise that it remains in excellent mechanical order. Its most recent routine maintenance was carried out in December 2020 at 7,341 miles by AKS Renault. This was the car’s first service, and consisted of replacement of its engine oil, oil filter and pollen filter.

Its first MOT test is not yet due, and the seller states that its Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres are in good condition, having covered around 1,500 miles since they were fitted.

This Megane RS 300 Trophy will be accompanied by full documentation of its service history to date, along with its original owner’s manual and other documents. The car will also be supplied with its original bottle of top-up oil, road safety kit, spare wheel nuts, and locking wheel nut key; though the wheel nuts’ case is damaged.
