2019 PORSCHE 911 (992) CARRERA S

This Porsche 911 (992) Carrera S is an engaging and exciting sports car, which benefits from a high factory specification and low mileage. It is powered by a 444bhp 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six, coupled to the eight-speed PDK dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 4,231 miles from new.

It was specified from the factory finished in Jet Black metallic paint, with an interior of black leather. The car was fitted with the optional RS Spyder Design alloy wheels, Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake discs (PCCB), Racing Yellow brake calipers, Matrix LED headlights, privacy glass, the sports exhaust system, and a sliding electric sunroof.

Other equipment on the car includes Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM), rear axle steering and Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), and the Sport Chrono package. Its cabin was specified with the 18-way Adaptive Sport Seats Plus, as well as Racing Yellow seat belts, a heated steering wheel, reversing camera, and the Bose surround-sound system. In total, the cost of the options is understood to have exceeded £26,000.

First registered in March 2019, this 992 Carrera S has one previous registered keeper on the log book. It was acquired by the seller in late 2019, and since then he has covered around 2,000 miles behind the wheel. The car is still covered by the original Porsche warranty until March 2022.

The bodywork and paint are described as being excellent, and essentially presenting in as-new condition. Its Jet Black panels are free of dents and other damage, and the Racing Yellow brake calipers provide a smart dash of colour down the flanks. The front lip spoiler is in great shape, with no scuffs or cracks, and all of the window glass is free of chips. It rides on the RS Spyder Design wheels, with a 20-inch diameter at the front and 21-inch at the rear. The alloys are pristine, with no scuffs or kerbing marks.

Inside, the black leather upholstery is in superb order, with no damage, and only signs of light use in line with the low mileage. It features the 18-way adjustable and heated sport seats, which are accented by Racing Yellow seat belts. Ahead of the driver is the GT Sport steering wheel with 12 o’clock marker, which is also heated for greater comfort in winter months. The touch-screen PCM system with satellite navigation is accompanied by a reversing camera, cruise control, climate control, and Bose surround sound.

The first service is not yet due, but in November 2019 it was given an inspection with brakes checked and fluids topped up by Porsche Centre South London. The car’s first MOT test will be due on 25 March 2022.

The wheels are shod in Goodyear Eagle F1 tyres in size 245/35 ZR20 at the front and 305/30 ZR21 at the rear. They are the original factory-fitted tyres, and still have plenty of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car are all of the original books in the leather wallet, including the driver’s manual and other user guides. A fire extinguisher is installed ahead of the front passenger seat, and it also comes with a car cover.

At launch, Autocar magazine said of the Carrera S: “This is an enjoyably exploitable car but hugely stable with it, and happy to carve quick, neat lines along undulating, tortuous roads with supreme accuracy. With the dampers in Sport mode, vertical body movements are brought deftly to an end almost as soon as they have begun to develop, and the resistance to pitch or squat is uncanny”.

This Porsche 992 Carrera S is a wonderfully capable high-performance car, with a remarkable breadth of abilities. It is presented in outstanding condition throughout, and boasts low mileage not to mention warranty cover until March 2022. It has always been covered and garaged during the seller’s ownership, and is now ready to impress another owner with its particular combination of pace and everyday usability.
