2019 PORSCHE 911 (991) SPEEDSTER

This Porsche 911 (991) Speedster is a stunning example of the marque’s limited-run open-top supercar, finished to a high factory specification and with delivery mileage only. The engine is a glorious 4.0-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, producing 503bhp and 347lb-ft of torque, coupled to the six-speed GT sports manual transmission. The odometer shows just 15 miles.

One of just 1,948 examples built - in reference to the marque’s founding year - the Speedster featured carbon-fibre front wings, as well as a carbon-fibre rear deck and front bonnet. It carries over the running gear and coil springs from the 991 GT3, but benefits from a more supple chassis.

First registered in September 2019, this 991 Speedster has just one owner from new, and is sold with the balance of a three-year factory warranty until September 2022. It is now offered for sale by the trade.

Specified in GT Silver Metallic with a black leather interior, this car was also ordered with the 20-inch Speedster wheels in satin black, a black fabric soft top, SportDesign exterior mirror trims and window triangle trims in carbon, painted side skirts, and LED main headlights in black with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS). It is also equipped with the desirable front-axle lift system. The bodywork and paint remains in as-new condition, and has been given a G-Techniq ceramic coating followed by a full paint protection film application by Topaz Detailing.

In the cabin, there are 18-way electrically adjustable and heated Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with memory functions. The black leather is accented by bright red stitching throughout, with red fabric door release straps and red seat belts. Ahead of the driver, the steering wheel rim also has a red top centre marking. All of the upholstery is in pristine, showroom-quality condition.

The interior features a range of Porsche Exclusive Manufaktur options, including extended leather interior door panels, leather trim for the seat backrests and steering column casing, the Porsche crest embossed on the central storage bin, and illuminated carbon door sill guards. Carbon-fibre trim is also inlaid across the door panels and dashboard, centre tunnel surround, and on the gear knob. A central plaque between the seats shows that this is car number 864 of the 1,948 built.

Factory-fitted equipment includes the Chrono package, Light Design package, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, a reversing camera, and Bose surround-sound system, the Porsche Communication Management (PCM) system includes the online navigation module, voice control system, mobile phone preparation, and digital radio. There are also auto-dimming mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, and a storage net in the passenger footwell.

Of course, this 991 remains mechanically as-new, with only delivery mileage on the odometer. The car is not due its first service until September 2021, and will not require its first MOT inspection until 2022. The wheels are shod in the factory-fit Dunlop Sport Maxx Race 2 tyres in size 245/35 ZR20 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear.

Driving the Speedster at its launch for Evo magazine, editor Stuart Gallagher concluded: “It’s a driver’s car first and foremost, that so happens to have a distinctive and unique look about it. It’s not only the very last 991-generation 911, it’s also one of the very, very best”.

This Porsche 991 Speedster is a stylish and involving open-top supercar that delivers a sensational driving experience. It has the great breadth of talent that almost all 911s boast, presented in a sleek and stunning package with a superb factory specification. In as-new condition throughout, and benefitting from the remainder of its factory warranty, this car would make a fine addition to any collection, but of course deserves to be properly driven as intended.
