2019 FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST

This Ferrari 812 Superfast is an excellent example of Ferrari’s fastest and most powerful series-production road car yet, presented in an attractive colour combination and offered by the second owner. It is powered by a formidable 789bhp 6.5-litre F140 GA V12 engine, coupled to a dual-clutch seven-speed F1 automated manual gearbox manufactured for Ferrari by Getrag.

The car was originally ordered through Ferrari Lancaster Colchester in February 2019, specified with an Italian flag badge added to the rear wing and all inner details in Blu Sterling leather except the central stripe on the upper dash, the stripe on the lower dash and the inserts on the tunnel, which are in white leather. The car was delivered just three months later, with the first owner registering it on ‘SB12 FER’ on 29 June 2019. Please note that this registration plate will accompany the car when sold.

As you would expect, the body panels remain in great condition, with no dents or other damage. Its Blu Tour de France (code 70) paint finish is in excellent condition. The two-box high tail design features full LED headlamps, air vents on the bonnet, quad circular taillights, and a body-coloured rear diffuser. It was also specified with the optional Scuderia Ferrari shields on both fenders and Giallo Modena brake callipers — an excellent contrast to the Blu Tour de France paintwork.

All four 20-inch forged alloy wheels are in as-new condition, with no blemishes or marks visible. The tyres are Pirelli P Zero with codes of 275/35 ZR 20 for the fronts and 315/35 ZR 20 for the rears.

Inside the cabin, the Blue sterling leather seats, tunnel and dashboard are complemented by an upgraded white stripe on the upper dash, lower dash, seats and tunnel, and the seats also feature white stitching on the seats and steering wheel, as well as embroidered Prancing Horses on the headrests. Carbon fibre is present on the central bridge on the tunnel, black leather steering wheel, paddle shift and rev surround, with the rev counter itself specified to be yellow.

As is standard on 812 Superfast, there is no central infotainment display, just a small temperature display for the climate control system and a vehicular status information display on driver's multifunction instrument cluster. The car also features adaptive front light system with SBL, suspension lifter and front and rear parking cameras.

The car is presented in superb mechanical condition throughout, and has a tidy engine bay and clean boot, which features ample room for its Ferrari car cover and case. As this car is a 2019 model, the MOT test requirement does not come into effect until 28 June 2022. The most recent service took place in September 2020 at around 500 miles. This was undertaken by HR Owen Ferrari in London.

At launch, Top Gear magazine was full of praise for the new 812 Superfast, concluding: “Chris Harris, when he first drove the 812 Superfast wrote, ‘no-one else makes a car like this’. They really don’t. The engine is at the core of that, but the rest of the car… well it’s perhaps the proudest machine I’ve ever driven, a rolling national anthem to everything that makes Italy great. It’s up there with the Renaissance and pizza. Seen in those terms, it’s hard to consider value for money, while flaws vanish into the background. Instead you experience the car, realise what a ruddy triumph it is and just have to celebrate that someone, somewhere still thinks it’s worth engineering and developing a car like this, a car unlike any other.”

This 2019 Ferrari 812 Superfast is a brilliant contemporary performance grand tourer, which blends revolutionary acceleration, deft road manners, and a luxurious cabin. It is practical and comfortable enough to use as an exotic daily driver, or it can simply be savoured for the occasional blast on a sunny weekend. This example boasts a great colour combination and low mileage, resulting in an opportunity not to be missed.

All UK-registered cars and motorbikes on Collecting Cars are run through an online HPI check. This vehicle shows no insurance database markers for damage or theft. It is currently covered by a finance agreement, but the remaining balance will be cleared before ownership is transferred to the buyer.
