2019 CATERHAM SEVEN 360R - 0 MILES

This 2019 Caterham Seven 360R is an unused and as-new example of the thrilling lightweight road and track car, with a superb bespoke specification and a striking Gravity Black and gold finish. It is equipped with the 180bhp 2.0-litre Ford Duratec engine, paired with a five-speed manual transmission.

This Caterham Seven has been in the hands of its current keeper from new, though it remains unregistered and has never been driven on the road or the track. If the next owner registers it for the road, they will be the first keeper on the V5C.

Equipped with the R-pack from the factory, it features the wide-track sports suspension with adjustable Bilstein dampers, a limited-slip
differential and a lightweight flywheel. However, the owner went significantly further than this with custom mechanical upgrades, adding a 22% wide track steering rack to provide even quicker turn-in, a Radtec Racing large capacity alloy radiator, and four-piston upgrade front brake callipers and an uprated master cylinder. The suspension was also enhanced with an adjustable anti-roll bar and a bespoke ‘flat floor’ fast road suspension setup by McMillan Motorsport. Under the bonnet, the engine air box, coil cover, and pedal box have all been carbon dipped, and the exhaust manifolds have been given a Zircotec ceramic thermal coating in white.

The bodywork and Gravity Black paintwork of this Caterham is pristine, having been carefully stored since delivery. Furthermore, it has been upgraded with a full gold stripe that now runs the length of the car rather than just down the bonnet. The gold finish has also been applied following delivery to the roll bar. It is fitted with a custom staggered wheel setup of 6-inch front and 8-inch rear Apollo alloys, which have a bespoke black and gold finish. The nose cone, bonnet, front /rear wings and rear panel have all been given an application of paint protection film (PPF), and today, there is just a small one-inch square patch of stress cracks, believed to have been caused by the nose cone touching the radiator edge, and which has since been adjusted. All four wheels are fitted with Avon CR500 tyres.

The exterior of this Seven 360R is further enhanced by carbon front indicators and rear light cluster mouldings, with clear lenses all round. There are also uprated RacingVision headlight bulbs. There are three sets of side mirrors; the standard factory items, aluminium mirrors, and a pair of composite items. Its exhaust silencer and catalytic converter shields have been carbon dipped, as have the A-posts of the optional full windscreen, plus the windscreen wiper arms. A master cut-off switch has been specified, with its surround also carbon dipped, and there are carbon rear stone guards.

Inside, the composite Tillet racing seats and four-point harnesses are in as-new condition, and the vendor has had them customised with black leather backrest pads with gold horizontal stitching and with the 360R logo embroidered. The carbon dashboard, door tops, handbrake lever and gear knob are all unmarked, and the cabin also features racing gear change lights and a quick-release Momo steering wheel. The cabin is fully carpeted with rubber floor covering, and there is also a mounted fire extinguisher and a 12-volt auxiliary power supply for smartphones, sat-nav units or other accessories. As you would expect, all of the switchgear works faultlessly, and the electrics are as-new.

Accompanying the vehicle will be two covers for the rear storage area, including one standard and one in carbon-effect material (fitted) to match the transmission tunnel cover, plus a cockpit tonneau cover. There is a half hood with a custom storage featuring gold ‘7’ logos embroidered at each end, and a Caterham dust cover with a storage bag in black with Caterham and ‘7’ logos on the front. The spare covers and weather gear have never been fitted, and the protective film on the rear screen is still in place on both the full and half hoods. The car also comes with a suede-trimmed Momo model 29 second steering wheel, as well as a composite aero screen, and half doors in carbon effect material.

The 360R is delivers a beautifully balanced blend of power and poise, with Autocar magazine’s editor-at-large Matt Prior stating: “For my money, this is just about the perfect Caterham specification."

This particular Caterham Seven 360R has an excellent factory specification, as well as a raft of discerning custom mechanical upgrades and cosmetic enhancements, making it truly unique. While the 360R is an outstanding driver’s car, this example has never been used nor registered for the road, and therefore this thrilling lightweight remains as-new and ready to be ‘run in’ by an enthusiast owner.
