2019 BENTLEY CONTINENTAL GT W12 'FIRST EDITION'

This 2019 Bentley Continental GT W12 ‘First Edition’ is a nearly new example of the marque’s high-performance tourer. It is powered by a muscular 6.0-litre, 626bhp W12 engine, driving all four wheels through an eight-speed automatic transmission. This example shows just 1,080 miles from new.

First registered on 25 July 2019, this Continental GT was purchased new by the vendor, and has been subject to minimal use since then. It left the factory finished in Sequin Blue, and with an extensive specification that included just over £67,000 of options – bringing its total new list price to £228,910.

The subtle ’1’ badging on the front wings, and the unique 22-inch alloy wheel design, are the giveaways that this is an example of the high-specification ‘First Edition’ model. At an additional cost of £34,800, this includes the Mulliner Driving Specification, Touring Specification, City Specification, and the desirable three-sided Rotating Display. The latter can show either a solid veneer panel, a 12.3-inch touchscreen, or three classic analogue gauges showing outside air temperature, a chronograph and a compass.

As a First Edition model, it also features dual veneers, ambient lighting, and massaging heated and ventilated front seats. Further enhancing this car’s appearance, it was also specified with the Centenary Specification – a unique option for 2019-build cars, which will never be repeated – that incorporates gold badges for the bonnet, boot, steering wheel, gear shifter, and key fob, plus Centenary message welcome lighting.

Among the other options selected were the Diamond Knurling Specification, which gives the bezels and control knobs an elegant jewel-like appearance, as well as the heated steering wheel, premium Niam sound system, heated windscreen, and red brake callipers. The ‘Cotes de Geneve’ machine aluminium finish on the centre console adds a further bespoke touch. Before being handed over to the first owner, this GT was also equipped with the dealer-fit Carbon Pack, and was then treated to a full application of paint protection film (PPF) to preserve its cosmetic appearance.

The Sequin Blue paintwork on this GT is a great fit for the regal nature of the car, and presents in near-pristine condition. There appears to be a couple of very slight grazes in the PPF wrap on the rear bumper, however the paintwork underneath is not damaged, and the vendor notes that the PPF could likely be fixed with some gentle buffing. The red callipers add a contrasting dash of colour to the exterior, while it was also specified with the chrome lower bumper.

Inside the cabin, the colour combination of Linen and Imperial Blue is a wonderfully stylish and sophisticated choice, and as with the outside, it presents in nigh-on perfect condition. The Mulliner Driving Specification means that the upholstery features diamond-quilted patterns over the top backrest sections, as well as in the door card centre panels.

The last service was carried out in June 2020 by Jack Barclay Bentley, which comprised of the first ‘running in’ service, owing to the low mileage of the car. The first MOT has yet to be carried out due to the vehicle’s age, and all four original tyres are in great condition with plenty of tread. The expected Bentley literature and handbooks are present and included with the sale, along with the factory tools and emergency Mobil oil supply.
