2019 ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH ZAGATO SHOOTING BRAKE

This Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Shooting Brake is a jaw-dropping limited-edition coachbuilt supercar, offered by its first and only owner. One of just 99 examples built, it is presented in as-new condition, with little more than running-in mileage. Under the bonnet is a glorious 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine producing 580bhp, with rear-wheel drive via the eight-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 398 miles.

Exquisitely crafted in a mix of high-grade carbon-fibre for the body panels, and aluminium for the classic Zagato ‘double bubble’ roof, this remarkable Vanquish was specified in the original launch colour of Lava Red, complemented by an interior trimmed in Pure Black with Spicy Red stitching.

While the standard specification is already highly bespoke, the owner added more than £50,000 of options to the car, including a Carbon Black roof panel, carbon-fibre boot floor, the One-77 style steering wheel, and dashboard fascia trim in twill carbon-fibre. It also features black textured exhaust tailpipe finishers, a second glass key, and the alarm upgrade.

Finally, this car was also specified with the optional Villa d’Este pack, commemorating the original concept launch at the 2016 Concorso d’Eleganza on the shore of Lake Como. The Villa d’Este Pack includes striking bronze accents on the alloy wheel spokes and anodised wing vent strakes, as well as inside the car for the air vent surrounds, on the steering wheel fascia, and around the main switchgear. It also incorporates the eye-catching ‘Z’ monogram graduated quilting on the seat upholstery.

First registered in January 2019, this original UK right-hand-drive Shooting Brake is offered by its first and only owner, having been driven sparingly but kept in pristine condition over the last 18 months.

As you would expect, the bodywork remains in superb order, with no damage or dents, and flush shut lines all around the car. Aston Martin commissioned a complex and expensive manufacturing process to minimise joins in the body, with the rear quarters being particularly impressive as single hand-rolled panels, to create a truly stunning coachbuilt appearance. The Lava Red paint is pristine, as the detailed photo set shows, as is all of the high-gloss carbon-fibre. It benefits from a full protection treatment applied by Topaz Detailing.

Inside, the Pure Black leather upholstery is accented by the eye-catching optional ‘Z’ monogram stitching, giving the car an eminently fresh and contemporary feel. The bespoke stitching is also applied to the leather headliner, while the luggage area floor and restraining bar are finished in carbon-fibre. The metal sill cover plaques confirm that this is car number 32 of the 99 Shooting Brakes built.

Both sport seats feature full electric adjustment and three-stage heating, and fold forwards to enable additional access to the rear storage area. Naturally, it is equipped with all of the necessary features for comfortable long-distance touring, including dual-zone climate control, cruise control, satellite navigation, and a Bang and Olufsen premium audio system.

Opening the bonnet reveals an immaculate engine bay, and the car has recently received its first year service, carried out at 379 miles by Aston Martin Bristol in May 2020. It is in perfect mechanical condition, and is ready to drive and enjoy. The first MOT test is not due until March 2022.

Accompanying the car are all of the original handbooks, user guides, and other vehicle literature. The basic set of tools also remains with the car, along with two glass keys. The car is still covered by the balance of its original Aston Martin warranty, for further peace of mind.
