2019 ABARTH 595 COMPETIZIONE

This Abarth 595 Competizione is an exciting ‘pocket rocket’ and an eminently usable urban runabout, presented in superb condition with little more than running-in mileage. It is powered by the 1.4-litre turbocharged inline-four engine producing 178bhp, coupled to a five-speed automated manual transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer shows just 1,730 miles from new.

First registered in September 2019, the car was purchased via main dealer Motor Village Marylebone. It was specified with a range of desirable options, including the 17-inch Supersport alloys, the carbon-fibre package, and an electric sunroof. It is now offered for sale by the first and only owner.

The bodywork of this 595 Competizione is in excellent condition, with no accident damage or dents in the panels. Likewise, the Circuit Grey paint also presents very well around the car, with the only blemishes being a small scuff near the boot loading area, and minor scratches to a rear wheel arch - both of which the seller believes could be buffed out with a careful machine polish. All of the body trims, and it features the optional carbon front splitter and carbon door mirror caps. The factory-fit ‘Record Monza’ sports exhaust is also installed, along with 17-inch Supersport matt black alloy wheels.

Inside, the front and rear seats are upholstered in black leather, with white contrast stitching in the front. The seats are in great shape, with no damage and no real wear to speak of. It is fitted with the carbon-fibre dashboard panel, as well as the sliding glass sunroof. The top of the instrument binnacle and the steering wheel inlays are trimmed in Alcantara. Standard equipment includes climate control, split-folding rear seats, and a seven-inch touch-screen with satellite navigation, Bluetooth, USB, Aux-in, audio streaming and DAB digital radio.

Mechanically, this 595 is still in superb condition, having covered just under 1,800 miles from new. It is not due its first annual service until September 2020, will not need to be put through an MOT test until September 2022. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres on three wheels, and a Goodyear item on the nearside front due to a previous puncture. They are all size 205/40 ZR17, and remain in great shape with plenty of tread.

This Abarth 595 Competizione is an exciting Italian hot hatch, which combines impressive handling with the riotous soundtrack of the marque’s ‘Record Monza’ exhaust system. These cars make for fun urban transport, with their small footprint making manoeuvres and parking a breeze. With a new list price of some £27,000, the reserve represents a substantial saving on the retail cost, yet this Abarth is in almost as-new condition throughout.
