2018 FORD MUSTANG GT - GT101 725HP UPGRADE

This Ford Mustang GT is an exciting modern muscle car, which has been upgraded by the renowned specialists at GT101. Power from the 5.0-litre V8 motor has been lifted to 725hp and 550lb-ft of torque thanks to the addition of a Whipple Stage 2 supercharger, and numerous other high-performance components. The engine is coupled to the 10-speed SelectShift automatic transmission with paddle shift, to deliver an uninterrupted surge in acceleration.

First registered in August 2018 as ‘MU58 TAN’ – an appropriate registration that is included in the sale – this one-owner car has been driven and enjoyed, covering some 11,314 miles.

The factory-original Fury Orange paintwork is in excellent condition, with the vendor noting only one small scratch around one inch long on the nearside front corner, which has been touched in. All of the paintwork has been detailed and treated to a ceramic coating, so it presents superbly overall, accented by an over-the-top racing stripe. It rides on the original 19-inch alloy wheels, which are in pristine condition.

The interior is trimmed with Ebony leather, which has only the slightest signs of use, and no discolouration or damage whatsoever. It has a generous equipment list that includes the 12-speaker stereo upgrade, heated and cooled electrically adjustment front seats, adaptive cruise control, voice-activated navigation with the Sync 3 system, and a reversing camera. There are no faults with any of the electrics or switchgear.

Its last scheduled maintenance was an oil and filter service at Premier Ford, Newport in August 2019 at 8,534 miles. Prior to this, it was serviced by GT101 in April 2019 at 5,561 miles, while the Ford PDI took place in August 2018. Fitted with Magneride adaptive suspension from the factory, the GT101 upgrades focused on a substantial power increase. To that end, the Whipple Stage 2 supercharger was installed, with long-tube American Racing Headers, a cat-back Borla S type active exhaust with carbon-fibre tips, and a custom calibration by Motorsport and Performance (MAP) to produce a dynamometer-measured 725hp and 550lb-ft of torque. A Steeda K-brace and uprated engine mounts were fitted to help keep all this power in check.

The first annual MOT test is not due until August 2021. Its wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, which are reported to be in excellent condition with more than 6mm of tread on all corners.

It is supplied with its original Ford export and specification sheet, owner’s wallet with all manuals, and the stamped service record. Two keys are also present, along with the power test session print-out, a tailored dust cover and a boot liner.

This Ford Mustang GT is a thrilling muscle car, which blends huge power with impressive refinement and plenty of creature comforts. Other than the carbon-fibre exhaust tips, it retains a stock appearance, meaning that this example is very much about ‘go’ rather than ‘show’. It is presented in excellent condition inside and out, benefitting from regular servicing, and represents a great opportunity to acquire a striking blue-collar performance icon with discerning upgrades.
