2018 FERRARI 812 SUPERFAST

This Ferrari 812 Superfast is a superb example of the marque’s flagship GT car, which has a very high factory specification, and is presented in wonderful condition. It is powered by the naturally aspirated 6.5-litre ‘Tipo F140GA’ V12 engine, producing an astonishing 789bhp, coupled to the seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission. The odometer shows 8,342 miles from new.

First registered in January 2018, this 812 Superfast was first owned by the Dick Lovett Ferrari dealership, and was used as a demonstrator for just over a year. There has only been one private keeper following this, who has owned the car for the last year. It is covered by the balance of the original three-year Ferrari warranty until January 2021.

As you would expect for a car intended to showcase features and options to prospective buyers, this 812 Superfast was ordered with a very high factory specification, with a total cost in excess of £350,000. The striking Blu Tour de France paintwork is complemented by a carbon-fibre front spoiler, bumper mouth, rear diffuser and carbon-fibre rear side bumpers. Scuderia Ferrari shields adorn the front wings. It is fitted with the 20-inch matt black forged racing wheels with carbon-fibre centre caps, and with the ceramic brake discs accented by red calipers. The exhaust tailpipes are finished in black, and the car also has the optional suspension lift system.

Inside, it has the large carbon-fibre racing seats, equipped with the racing seat lifters. The upholstery is Nero leather with Rosso Ferrari coloured inner details, and Rosso special stitching that includes Cavallino motifs embroidered into the headrests. Leather also extends to the headlining, while the central bridge, rear bench trim, upper tunnel, and door sill covers are all finished in carbon-fibre. The cabin also has the privacy rear windows.

The carbon-fibre Driver Zone with LED shift lights was specified, along with a red rev counter, and the passenger display screen. Other factory-fitted equipment includes the high-power JBL sound system, HELE stop-start system, adaptive headlights, front and rear parking cameras, and the NavTrak anti-theft system.

Its bodywork presents superbly, having been treated to a full paint protection film (PPF) application by Topaz Detailing in London. The only imperfection noted by the seller is a scratch in the paint on the bumper behind the nearside rear wheel, which is clearly visible in photo 43 in the gallery below. Otherwise, the Blu Tour de France paintwork has a smooth and glossy appearance all around the car. The forged alloy wheels are pristine, and the carbon-fibre components are free of cracks and chips.

In the cabin, the black leather trim is all in great shape. There is some light wear on the driver’s seat side bolster, as well as a barely visible section of discolouration rear the red stitching line on the seat base. However, the interior presents superbly overall, and all of the switchgear and electrics work as they should.

The car has full service history from new, and is not due its first MOT test until January 2021. The wheels are shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres in size 275/35 ZR20 at the front and 315/35 ZR20 at the rear, which are in sound condition with a good level of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car are all of the original books and sales literature, as well as the car cover and its storage bag. There is no luggage present. Summing up the car at its launch, Chris Harris wrote in Top Gear magazine: “It might well be the last of its type; if so it is a fitting celebration for the end of an era”.

This Ferrari 812 Superfast is a wonderful example of one of the most thrilling road cars ever made. It boasts a fantastic factory specification, a superb colour scheme, and is sure to delight its next owner whenever they choose to experience its performance and theatre. An opportunity not to be missed if you are seeking a great example of Ferrari’s latest V12 GT.
