2018 BMW M4

Powered by a 425bhp twin-turbocharged straight-six 3.0-litre engine paired with a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this 2018 BMW M4 Coupe is a razor sharp yet incredibly usable performance car. This example benefits from a handsome colour combination and high specification, and has covered just 6,619 miles from new.

Aside from the plentiful standard equipment on the M4, this example boasts a dealer-fitted M Performance carbon-fibre front lip spoiler, boot lid spoiler, and rear diffuser, as well as the carbon-fibre and Alcantara steering wheel, carbon-fibre centre console and gear knob, and M Performance wheels. Finished in black, these alloys blend with the body hue while the interior colour of Sakhir Orange adds a flash of vibrant colour. Its original dealer-fitted extras amounted to over £7,000.

First registered on 24 April 2018, the car has just one previous keeper, which was the dealer principal of the supplying BMW franchise. The car has been owned by the vendor for around 16 months in which time approximately 4,700 miles have been covered. It has always been garaged, and kept stored but unused during the winter months. The car was given a Supaguard protective treatment when new, and has also been fully valeted once a month to keep it in looking fresh.

The bodywork and Sapphire Black paint is in excellent condition. The vendor reports some minor stone chips on the bonnet and a single minor stone chip to the nearside rear, as shown in the photographs, but otherwise the exterior presents superbly. The additional M Performance carbon-fibre components tie in with the carbon-fibre roof, and high-gloss black grilles and trim complete the dark appearance. The optional M Performance wheels – as fitted to the M4 CS – are in excellent unmarked condition, as are the factory M blue brake calipers.

Moving inside, the striking Sakhir Orange cabin is in superb condition and, as with the outside, the additional carbon-fibre upgrade lends a touch of exclusivity to the interior. There are no reported marks or blemishes, and the rear seats have never been sat in.

This example also benefits from the Harmon Kardon sound system alongside dual-zone climate control, heated seats, front and rear parking sensors, BMW ConnectedDrive with satellite navigation, DAB digital radio, head-up display and Apple CarPlay. Adaptive M suspension also offers electronically changeable damper settings, while M Dynamic Mode gives the vehicle higher lateral dynamics and acceleration limits.

The car received the important running-in service in 2018, carried out at the supplying dealer workshop. The vendor notes that the service indicator is now showing a maintenance visit is due – which is on the time rather than mileage, since it has covered just 5,000 miles since the first service. It has not yet been able to visit a dealer due to Covid-19 restrictions, so this is a straightforward job for the next owner, which should only be a minor service.

The first MOT test is not due until 23 April 2021. The car wears Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres at the front, which are original and have around half their tread remaining, while the rear Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres are new.

This low-mileage BMW M4 is sold with all original books, literature and accessories, including tyre sealant and compressor, first aid kit, warning triangle, towing eye, and locking wheel nut key.
