This Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster is a sensational open-top supercar, and an incredibly rare coachbuilt masterpiece, with only delivery and test mileage on the odometer. Just 28 of these cars were delivered worldwide, so this is an opportunity not to be missed if you have the wherewithal.

Under the bonnet is Aston Martin’s celebrated 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 580bhp, driving the rear wheels through the eight-speed Touchtronic III automatic transmission with paddle shift. While the car was delivered to its owner in 2018, it was not registered for the road until earlier this year. The odometer shows just 46 miles from new.

The factory specification for this car includes coachwork finished in the striking hue of Q special request Ming Blue, with an interior trimmed in a combination of Bitter Chocolate and Copper Tan leather. The former is used for the rear bulkhead panel, upper dashboard, steering wheel, and seat bolsters, while the latter appears in perforated form on the seat centres, and in a smooth finish for the lower dashboard, centre console and lower door panels. The cabin is accented with bright blue ‘Z’ embroidery on the seat bolsters and door card inlays, along with ‘Z’ logos on each headrest.

The windscreen pillars and top bar are trimmed in Bitter Chocolate Alcantara, while the carpets are Caspian Blue. Aston Martin Q division bespoke touches include the upper half of the instrument panel and the seat backs trimmed in Bitter Chocolate leather. While the body is hand-crafted in carbon-fibre, it is also finished with visible carbon-fibre trim inside and out, and the Satin Chrome jewellery pack.

There are black side window surrounds, black brake callipers, and black textured exhaust tailpipe finishers. It was also specified with the alarm upgrade, and was treated to a GTechniq ceramic coating for the paintwork before delivery.

As you would expect, the bodywork and paint remain in pristine condition, with the mileage not even into triple digits yet. The striking 20-inch alloy wheels are immaculate, as is all of the glossy carbon-fibre exterior trim. These Zagato cars have eye-catching details all around the body, from the recessed fog lights at the front to the sculpted tail lights and ‘Z’ effect details in the grilles. The interior trim is also in superb order, creating a truly bespoke ambience.

This Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Speedster is a remarkably rare performance car, which is arguably a work of art in its own right, blending imperious British engineering with artisanal Italian design. Practical enough for weekends away in warm summer months, this GT is also a car that will undoubtedly always be welcome at the world’s most exclusive concours and shows. For a die-hard marque collector, this represents an opportunity to own one of just 28 coachbuilt supercars, which continue the longstanding collaboration that dates back to the DB4 GT Zagato.

The description of this auction lot is, to the best of the seller's knowledge, accurate and not misleading. Collecting Cars requests a range of detail about the lot from the seller, and performs a level of due diligence through HPI checks and MOT history. However, bidders must satisfy themselves as to the accuracy of the description, and conduct any research they feel is necessary before committing to a bid. Please see our Terms and Conditions for full details.

All UK-registered cars and motorbikes on Collecting Cars are run through an online HPI check. This vehicle shows no insurance database markers for damage or theft, and has no finance owing.
