2017 PORSCHE 911 (991.2) GT3 CLUBSPORT - MANUAL

The 991.2-generation Porsche 911 GT3 Clubsport is a hugely entertaining weekend toy and track day tool. Its 4.0-litre flat-six produces 493bhp and revs to 9,000rpm, with this naturally-aspirated power marshalled by a six-speed manual gearbox. Having led a well-maintained life so far, the car has covered a mere 5,176 miles from new.

Manufactured for the UK market, this GT3 was first registered on 27 October 2017 and there are two previous registered keepers on the log book. Its first owner was the Sporting Director of Aston Martin Red Bull Racing F1 team, Jonathan Wheatley, with his original staff parking permit still in the window. The current owner purchased the car nearly two years ago, and during that time it has never been tracked, and has been garaged when not in use.

This Porsche is finished in Graphite Blue paint, benefiting from paint protection film applied by Topaz Detailing London in November 2017. This alluring colour is in excellent condition, with only a handful of minor stone chips having impacted the PPF on the front of the vehicle, and the benefit of ceramic coating can clearly be seen in the bodywork’s deep lustre.

The seller notes that there is a miniscule dent in the driver’s door, only really visible under a direct detailing light. The 20-inch GT3-specific wheels are free from kerbing, the optional carbon-ceramic brake discs are in very good order, and the pads were recorded at just 10% worn in January 2020. The body trims, front and rear lights, and badging all present superbly, as do the mesh grilles adorning the front end.

In the cabin, the main contact points including Alcantara steering wheel and gear knob are in excellent condition. Equipped with the Sport Chrono pack and accompanying dashboard stopwatch, half-roll cage and fire extinguisher, the GT3 Clubsport is the ideal blend of functionality and style. The seats are the 918-style carbon-fibre shell half-leather and Alcantara buckets with embossed Porsche crests on the headrests, finished in black with silver stitching and striping, and showing no signs of wear.

This 911’s most recent service was carried out on 6 January 2020 by Porsche Centre Bristol, at approximately 4,800 miles. With the first MOT not due until 26 October 2020, the balance of the official manufacturer warranty also remains until November of this year, and the car is in completely original condition throughout – ensuring the ability of its next owner to extend the warranty further if they wish.

Other factory-fitted options include the all-important front-axle lift, reversing camera, BOSE surround-sound system and black-coloured LED light clusters. This GT3 retains its factory-fit Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in 245/35/ZR20 and 305/30/ZR20 fitment at the front and rear respectively. The seller states that they are in good condition, being recorded as greater than 6mm tread during the January service, but would benefit from replacement in the near future if the intention is for regular fast track use.

Accompanying this 911 is the complete original book pack, including the stamped service record, as well as the tool kit, warning triangle and two keys. A tracker has also been fitted, and the optional Schroth five-point racing harnesses are included should the next owner wish to fit these.

This 991.2 GT3 Clubsport is a beautifully presented and well-maintained example of the purist’s 911. Benefitting from the desirable features of an involving manual gearbox and optional carbon-ceramic brakes, this 911 is an outstanding sports car in a great driver-focused specification, equally at home on the next owner’s favourite roads or on track.
