2017 PORSCHE 911 (991.2) CARRERA GTS - LHD

This Porsche 991.2 Carrera GTS is a fabulous, low-mileage example of one of the best contemporary 911s. It is powered by the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, producing 444bhp and 406lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a seven-speed PDK dual-clutch transmission. The odometer shows just 8,356 km from new.

The GTS came as standard with the Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) system, as well as the sports chassis that sits 10mm lower than a Carrera S. It also features the Sport Chrono pack, including dynamic engine mounts and the switchable sports exhaust.

This particular car was also specified with the optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC), 90-litre touring fuel tank, Adaptive Cruise Control, Power Steering Plus, and LED headlights with the PDLS+ system. The exterior features 20-inch centre-lock Turbo S alloy wheels finished in satin black, red brake callipers, a glass sunroof, and privacy glass.

In the cabin, there are Adaptive Sport Seats Plus with three-stage heating, leather sun visors, the Light Design Package, multi-function steering wheel, and black leather and Alcantara upholstery accented by red stitching. Other factory-fitted features include a red rev counter, speed limit indicator, front and rear parking sensors, a rear-view camera, and the Bose surround-sound system.

First registered in April 2017 in Germany, there are two previous owners, which are understood to be Porsche itself as a demonstrator car, followed by its first private keeper. The trade seller has only just acquired the car, taking it in part exchange against an interesting BMW.

Today, its bodywork and paint are reported to remain in excellent condition, with only some minor marks on the front bumper. Its Carmine Red factory finish is bright and glossy all around the body, and sits in contrast to the satin black alloys and other black trim details. The wheels themselves are in superb order, with no kerbing marks or other damage.

In the cabin, there is a handsome pairing of black leather and Alcantara, which is accented throughout by red stitching to complement the paintwork, and also by the red seat belts. The leather and suede is in great shape, with no wear to speak of, commensurate with the very low mileage. The seller notes some minor scuffing on the plastic sill kick trims, where shoes have brushed them on entering and exiting the vehicle, but otherwise it still looks almost showroom fresh. There are no warning lights on the dashboard, and all of the switchgear and electrics work as they should.

Its first service was carried out on schedule in March 2019 at 3,196 km by Porsche Centre Bremen, comprising an engine oil service with renewal of the air filter and brake fluid. The tyres are the original Pirelli P Zero items in size 245/35 ZR20 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear, which have at least 6mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car are all of the original books, including the driver’s manual, Porsche Assistance booklet, and the stamped service record. The original tools and warning triangle are still safely stowed in the front boot.

The 991.2 GTS was well received at its lunch, praised for its all-round ability in particular. Writing in Evo magazine, Dan Prosser said: “as a road car it’s more fun than the Turbo and as a daily it’s much more usable than the hardcore, track-focussed versions”.

This Porsche 991.2 Carrera GTS is an excellent example of the breed, presented in a vibrant factory colour, and with a discerning selection of options. It is reported to be a cherished car that has been enjoyed but not abused, with no track use, and which is ready for many more miles in the hands of another enthusiastic owner.
