This 2017 Ferrari 488 Spider is a stunning one-owner example of the marque’s flagship open-top supercar benefitting from a very high factory specification. Powered by a 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine mated to a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, this example has covered only 3,860 miles from new.
First registered on 9 September 2017 and delivered new to its first and only owner by HR Owen Ferrari of London, this Spider has a discerning factory specification including the carbon-fibre Driver Zone and LED steering wheel, carbon-fibre racing seats, and contrast special stitching. A full list of optional extras is included below. The car remains covered by its standard seven-year service plan.
The Blu Pozzi paintwork is in great condition and benefits from a PPF application to the front end. There are scuffs under the front bumper and splitter, though these are not visible unless looking underneath the car. All four of the optional forged alloys are in very good order.
The rich Bordeaux interior is in fantastic shape, with the upgraded racing seats still looking pristine. The carpets, carbon-fibre trim, and leather dashboard and door card trims are all also in excellent shape, with no signs of any marks or scuffs. Everything is working just as it should, with no warning lights on the dashboard.
The most recent service took place at 3,456 miles during September 2020 and was performed by HR Owen Ferrari of London. The work carried out included an oil and filter change to the manufacturer schedule. Prior to this, the last two services were at 2,937 miles in September 2019 and 2,482 miles in September 2018, again performed by HR Owen. In addition to the servicing, the airbag recall work has been carried out, and the brake fluid was changed in 2019.
The first MOT test was carried out during the aforementioned service by HR Owen on 7 September 2020, and resulted in a clean pass with no advisory items. All four tyres are still the original items from 2017, with over 6mm of tread at the rear and more than 7mm at the front. Supplied with the vehicle are all of the original books and dealership documentation.
Finished in an unusual and smart colour combination of Blu Pozzi over a Bordeaux interior, and with only one owner and low mileage, this Ferrari 488 Spider offers the opportunity to own a nearly-new supercar with comprehensive annual history. Combining exhilarating driving characteristics with visual flair, this 488 Spider would make an excellent addition to any assembly of performance cars or Ferraris in particular.
