2017 FERRARI 488 GTB

This Ferrari 488 GTB boasts a smart factory specification, incorporating numerous carbon-fibre elements and the desirable suspension lift system. Under the engine lid is the sensational 661bhp 3.9-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine, driving the rear wheels through a seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission with paddle shift.

First registered on 31 March 2017, this 488 GTB has two previous keepers on the V5C. It was acquired by the vendor in late 2020, and now has 4,800 miles on the odometer.

Finished in Nero Daytona, the body panels show no signs of any damage, and all of the paintwork is believed to be entirely original. The vendor has not reported any blemishes or wear, and the photos below show a car that presents extremely well. Its carbon-fibre components include the rear air ducts, rear fog light, side air splitters, and carbon-fibre engine covers. There are also Scuderia wing shields, adaptive front headlights, and the sought-after suspension lift system. It rides on 20-inch forged diamond wheels, which house carbon-ceramic brake discs and yellow brake callipers.

Inside, the seats feature full electric adjustment and heating, while the cabin is trimmed in a blend of Nero leather and Alcantara, accented by Giallo stitching - including for the embroidered ‘Cavallino’ emblems on the headrests. There are carbon-fibre dashboard inlays and door sill kick plates, as well as the carbon-fibre central bridge, Driver Zone, and LED steering wheel. Factory-fitted options also include the premium JBL Hi-Fi system, front and rear parking sensors, and front and rear parking cameras. The upholstery remains in great shape throughout, and there are no issues with the switchgear or electrics.

The car is of course still covered by its seven-year service programme, and its last maintenance visit was in April 2021 at 4,600 miles, when the engine oil, oil filter, and pollen filter were replaced. Routine maintenance was also carried out prior to this in February 2020.

The car had its second annual MOT test on 23 March 2021 at 4,684 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects. All four tyres are reported to be in good condition. Accompanying the car are all of the original books, the tools, and the tyre inflator kit.

This Ferrari 488 GTB is a superb example of the breed, presented in a demure colour scheme and with numerous sought-after factory options. With its more comfort-focused seating, and front and rear cameras, this is an Italian supercar that would make a wonderful road trip companion, but could also be put into service as a thrilling daily driver.
