2017 BMW M3 30 JAHRE LIMITED EDITION

This BMW M3 ‘30 Jahre’ Limited Edition is a superb example of the very rare commemorative model, marking three decades of the iconic M3 nameplate, which was first revealed in 1986. Under the bonnet is the Competition Package specification 444bhp 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged straight-six engine, coupled to the seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 5,760 miles.

The ‘30 Jahre’ is also equipped with the Adaptive M suspension setup featuring upgraded springs and dampers, carbon-ceramic brakes, forged 20-inch alloy wheels and carbon-fibre trims.

First registered on 29 September 2017, this M3 has just two previous keepers on the log book, with the current owner having acquired the car two-and-a-half years ago.

The bodywork of this M3 is in superb order, with no dents or other damage, and is accented by the carbon-fibre front splitter, mirror caps, rear diffuser and spoiler. Its special Frozen Silver paint finish is also in excellent condition, with the vendor noting only one small stone chip on the bonnet. There is also a tri-colour M stripe applied to the carbon-fibre roof. The car rides on 20-inch forged star-spoke alloy wheels, which are immaculate with no kerbing grazes or other marks, and which house gold brake callipers around the carbon-ceramic discs.

In the cabin, the black and blue leather upholstery is in great shape, with only very slight marks on the driver’s seat outer bolster. The M Sport seats are embroidered with ‘30 Jahre’ emblems in silver thread, and there is blue contrast thread for the seat stitching, dashboard and door panel accents. The suede-trimmed steering wheel and the seat belts feature tri-colour M stitching. All of the carbon-fibre interior inlays are in superb condition, and the car boasts a raft of equipment, including the Harman Kardon sound system and a head-up display, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, heated front seats, and BMW Professional media and navigation. There are no electrical faults, and no warning lights on the dashboard.

The most recent scheduled maintenance was carried out in September 2020 at 5,754 miles, with a full service at Dick Lovett BMW Hungerford. During the vendor’s ownership, the spark plugs have also been renewed.

Its last MOT test was carried out on 22 September 2020 at 5,759 miles, when it unsurprisingly achieved a first-time pass with no advisories. The tyres are all reported to be in excellent condition, with around 5mm of tread remaining.

This BMW M3 ‘30 Jahre’ Limited Edition is one of just 30 cars built for the UK, and is presented in superb condition throughout, with exceptionally low mileage. A rare and collectible tribute to the legendary M3 model, this is a tempting prospect for marque collectors and super saloon enthusiasts, and will no doubt delight its next owner whenever they choose to get behind the wheel.
