2017 BENTLEY BENTAYGA W12

This Bentley Bentayga is an immensely capable luxury SUV, finished in a discerning factory specification, and with very low mileage. Under the bonnet is a 6.0-litre twin-turbocharged W12 producing 605bhp and a tremendous 664lb-ft of torque. Permanent four-wheel drive is utilised to transmit power to the road, harnessed by an eight-speed automatic gearbox. The odometer currently indicates 5,780 miles from new.

The Bentayga was first revealed at the 2015 Frankfurt Motor Show and was said to be the world’s fastest SUV at the time, with a top speed of 187mph (301km/h). First registered in April 2017, this Bentayga has just one previous keeper on the log book, and has been in the current ownership for the last five months. The only upgrade over the factory specification is the fitment of genuine Bentley 22-inch alloy wheels.

The bodywork has flush shut lines and smooth panels, showcased by the wonderful deep blue hues of the Black Sapphire paint. As you would expect from such a low mileage car, it remains in superb cosmetic condition, accented by the bright chromed grilles around the front, elegant body trims, and the wide oval exhaust tailpipes. There is also the ‘Jewel’ fuel filler cap hiding beneath the external flap. It rides on substantial five-spoke 22-inch polished alloys, which are in superb order.

Moving inside, the cabin boasts a two-tone Camel and Imperial Blue leather interior, which remains virtually as-new in both the front and back of the car. The Bentley logo is proudly embossed beneath the headrests and also appears in the door sills. The lower dashboard is upholstered with Camel leather which continues through the door cards and pockets, while the dashboard fascia is finished with burr walnut trim and has no scratches or scuffs. This example comes equipped with electrically adjustable heated and ventilated front seats, a heated steering wheel with hand-stitched trim, four-zone climate control and parking sensors.

Its factory specification includes the All-Terrain Specification, which adds extra off-road modes, a top-view camera, underbody protection and luggage restraints; City Specification, which has pedestrian warning, traffic sign alert, and a cross-view reversing monitor; and Touring Specification, which brings adaptive cruise control, lane assist, traffic assist, and a head-up display. The car is also equipped with the Bentley Signature Audio system and deep-pile floor mats.

This Bentayga was serviced by Jack Barclay in summer 2020, just before being acquired by the current owner. Its first MOT test was undertaken on 20 March 2020 at 4,185 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories or defects. The wheels are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tyres in the correct fitment of 285/40 R22 all round, which are in superb condition with plenty of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car are the Bentayga owner’s manuals and service book, along with all of the tools and accessories originally supplied with the car, and two keys.

This Bentley Bentayga is a superb low-mileage example of the luxurious British crossover, combining unrivalled luxury with go-anywhere performance. Equipped with a wonderfully smooth W12 engine and a well-appointed interior, it could readily be put into service as a sumptuously trimmed daily driver, or could make an ideal cross-continent road trip companion for the whole family.
