2017 ASTON MARTIN VANQUISH ZAGATO COUPE

This Aston Martin Vanquish Zagato Coupe is a stunning example of an exceptionally rare coachbuilt supercar, presented in as-new condition throughout. It is one of just 99 examples built, and has just two collector owners from new, which accounts for the very low mileage. Power comes from Aston’s 5.9-litre naturally aspirated V12 engine, producing 580bhp in this guise, coupled to an eight-speed Touchtronic III automatic gearbox with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 492 miles from new.

The body is hand-crafted in high-grade carbon-fibre, and features the familiar ‘double bubble’ Zagato roofline. It was specified in the original launch colour of Lava Red, complemented by a Pure Black leather interior. Among the chosen options is the Villa d’Este pack, commemorating the appearance of the concept car at the Concorso d’Eleganza in 2016.

The Villa d’Este Pack comprises bronze accents that feature externally on the alloy wheel spokes and anodised wing vent strakes, and internally for the air vent surrounds, rear seat belt sockets, steering wheel boss, and around the main switchgear. It also includes the eye-catching ‘Z’ monogram stitching on the seat upholstery.

This particular Zagato Coupe was also specified with the One-77 style steering wheel, black textured exhaust tailpipes, and a second glass key. It also had the volumetric alarm upgrade with tilt sensors, a garage door opener with auto-dimming mirror, leather key pouch, and even the optional umbrella - which remains stored and unused in the boot.

First registered in March 2017, this car is currently with its second collector owner, though the log book has not been reassigned. This remarkable car has been enjoyed over several hundred miles, and is now offered for sale to another passionate enthusiast who fully appreciates its exclusivity and the attention to detail through its production. A plaque on the car shows that it is the 63rd of 99 Zagato Coupes built.

As you would expect, the bodywork and paint remains in outstanding condition, with no unsightly marks or stone chips in the finish. The wide black grille is in great shape, and there is no damage or chips to any of the window glass or the light lenses. All of the glossy carbon-fibre features are in superb order, giving the car a wonderfully purposeful stance as well as having a genuine aerodynamic benefit. Its 20-inch alloy wheels are in pristine condition, with no kerbing damage or defects in the dark grey and bronze finishes.

The cabin also remains in as-new condition, with no visible wear on any of the seat upholstery or interior trim. Both sport seats feature full electric adjustment, memory settings, and three-stage heating. The ‘Z’ monogram accents in contrast stitching extend to the rear seats, door panels, and even the leather headlining, while a ‘Herringbone’ carbon-fibre inlay is applied to the central dashboard panel.

Its rear seats mean this is a genuine 2+2, though the car is arguably at its best when used for just two occupants for longer-distance touring. Factory-fitted equipment includes dual-zone climate control, cruise control, satellite navigation, and the Bang and Olufsen premium audio system.

Despite having little more than running-in mileage from new, the car was returned to Aston Martin Works for its first service in March 2018 at 198 miles, and it went back for another visit in March 2019 at 218 miles. Given the recent restrictions in place, it has not yet had a service in 2020, so this is now due.

Accompanying the car is the original handbook, presentation box, the unused umbrella, and an Aston Martin Zagato car cover.
