2016 PORSCHE 911 (991.1) GT3 RS

This Porsche 911 (991.1) GT3 RS is a pared-back supercar with staggering performance, presented in outstanding condition and a great factory specification. It is powered by the 4.0-litre flat-six engine producing 493bhp, coupled to the seven-speed PDK automatic transmission. The odometer shows 9,416 miles from new.

Supplied via Porsche Centre Reading in March 2016, this RS was specified in the vibrant hue of Ultraviolet, with the interior in black leather and Alcantara. Standard equipment includes the Clubsport pack, with the roll cage bolted behind the seats, as well as PASM with a bespoke RS calibration, and Porsche Torque Vectoring Plus.

This car is fitted with the optional Sport Chrono package, as well as cross-drilled ceramic brake discs (PCCB). It also features the Sound Package Plus, HomeLink system, and a painted vehicle key. There are two previous registered keepers from new, and it is covered by a pre-owned warranty until March 2021.

The bodywork of this GT3 RS is in excellent condition, with no dents, scratches or other damage to any of the panels. Its Ultraviolet paint is also in superb order, and the car has just had a Level 2 enhancement treatment at Topaz Detailing in London. It rides on centre-lock forged alloy wheels finished in satin black, which are pristine, accented by yellow brake calipers.

Inside, the cabin is equipped with manually positioned carbon-fibre full bucket seats with electric height adjustment, upholstered in black leather with Alcantara centre panels and silver stitching. The seats are in great shape, with no damage or discolouration, and are complemented by silver seat belts. There is also Alcantara trim on the steering wheel rim and gear knob, as well as the headlining and roof pillars. Factory-fitted equipment includes Porsche Communication Management (PCM) with navigation module, as well as dual-zone climate control.

The last scheduled maintenance was on 12 June 2018 at 7,885 miles, carried out by Porsche Centre Reading. This was an intermediate maintenance visit, which also included renewal of the brake fluid renewal, and the car has only covered around 1,500 miles since then. A rev check report was carried out in November 2019 at 8,070 miles, and is included in the photo gallery below.

It was put through its first MOT test on 2 December 2019 at 8,135 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The wheels are fitted with Porsche N-rated Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres in size 265/35 ZR20 at the front and 325/30 ZR21 at the rear, which are in sound condition with a good level of tread remaining.

Driving the 991 GT3 RS at its launch, motoring journalist Henry Catchpole said: “Despite what my mind tells me a 911 can do, this can always seemingly do more. This RS makes you feel more like a superhero than any 911 ever before - it’s just staggering”. It was a sentiment echoed by Top Gear magazine’s motoring editor, Ollie Marriage, who called the car “undoubtedly the most secure, tied down, outrageously fast and agile 911 I’ve ever driven”.

This Porsche 911 GT3 RS is a superb example of the breed, presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, and needing nothing to get out and enjoy whenever possible. It is accompanied by all of the original books, and is still covered by a pre-owned warranty until March 2021. An opportunity not to be missed!
