2016 PORSCHE 911 (991.2) CARRERA 4S

This Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera 4S is a supremely capable yet surprisingly practical sports car, finished in an appealing factory hue and with low mileage. Nestled under the rear engine cover is the 3.0-litre twin-turbocharged flat-six engine, producing 414bhp. This is sent to all four wheels via the slick seven-speed manual transmission, allowing the Carrera 4S to sprint from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds, and on to a claimed top speed of 189mph. The odometer displays 27,677 miles from new. The car will be sold with six months remaining on its Porsche UK factory-backed warranty.

Specified in Porsche’s eye-catching Graphite Blue Metallic paintwork and a Black Leather interior, this ‘Gen 2’ 991 model also features a few sought-after after factory options, including RWS (Rear Wheel Steer), the Sport Chrono Package, Sports Exhaust system, rear wiper, tilt-and-slide sunroof, LED headlights, front axle lifting, cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and a premium Bose surround-sound stereo system.

First registered on 22 January 2016, the car’s log book shows two prior keepers, and it is now being offered for sale by the current owner, who acquired it nearly two years ago.

The bodywork is in excellent condition, and while the seller states that the front bumper has previously suffered from minor damage, this was corrected in January 2019 by a Porsche Recommended Repairer and is no longer visible, with the entire car featuring smooth and glossy paint across the panels and with flush shut lines.

The LED headlight and tail-light lenses are clear and free of scratches or chips, and the glass is also in great shape, without any damage to the windscreen. This Carrera 4S rides on a set of 20-inch ‘Carrera Classic’ alloy wheels, which have been well cared-for with no kerbing damage, and are complemented by red painted brake callipers.

The interior is upholstered in black leather, and the electrically adjustable heated front seats are embellished with embossed Porsche crests on their headrests. All four seats show virtually no wear, with only signs of use on the driver’s seat bolster. Elsewhere, black leather also covers the upper dashboard and door cards, the armrests, steering wheel, and the gear knob – and is all in excellent condition. This is offset by brushed aluminium accents, which are inlaid into the dashboard, door cards, air vent surrounds, and the central tunnel.

Factory-fitted options include the Sport Chrono package – with the stopwatch in the centre of the dashboard and the mode selector on the steering wheel – as well as a premium Bose surround-sound stereo system, front and rear parking sensors, and a sunroof, helping to bring additional cool air into the cabin during warm-weather drives. All of the car’s switchgear and electrical items work without fault.

The car is in excellent mechanical condition. To date, this Carrera 4S has had two services, with the most recent being a minor service, carried out in February 2020 at 26,521 miles by Porsche Centre Glasgow. Prior to this, it was seen in February 2018 at 12,549 miles.

Its last annual MOT test was conducted on 24 July 2020 at 27,657 miles, where it received a first-time pass, with only two advisories; one noting minor corrosion on the inner face of a front brake disc, and another recording a nail in the offside rear tyre. Subsequent investigations confirmed that the corrosion on the disc was on the surface only due to the car not having been used for 10 days prior to being driven to the local testing station. A small nail was removed from the middle of the tread of the tyre and the hole vulcanised and repaired.

All four of the alloy wheels are shod with Pirelli P Zero N-rated tyres, measuring 245/35 ZR20 in the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear, and each has over 5mm of tread remaining. Accompanying this 991.2 are all of the items it was supplied with from new, including the original handbooks, accessories and key fobs. The car is fitted with a Cat 5 tracker which can be transferred to the purchaser for a fee payable to Vodafone Automotive.

This Porsche 911 (991.2) Carrera 4S is a well-appointed example of an effortlessly potent sports car.
