2016 MERCEDES-BENZ G63 AMG - BRABUS

This Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is an imposing luxury SUV, upgraded with a genuine Brabus body kit and presented in superb condition throughout. It is powered by the 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 producing up to 544bhp, driving all four wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows 14,856 miles from new.

Finished in Obsidian Black, this G63 was upgraded to Brabus cosmetic specification by the first owner, who sold it on to the current second keeper in July 2018. It now rides on 22-inch Riviera alloy wheels with a Y-spoke design and a diamond-cut finish, which were fitted in 2020.

The well-appointed cabin is trimmed in full black leather, with diamond-quilted seat centre panels and door cards, heated and ventilated front seats, and heated rear outboard seats. It has the Harmon/Kardon sound system, dual-zone climate control, cruise control, and Mercedes’ COMAND infotainment system, making it an effortless cruiser as well as a practical family car.

Its bodywork is in superb condition, with no damage or faults, and the Obsidian Black paint is smooth and glossy all around the car. The Brabus kit was painted to match perfectly, and the vendor still has the carbon-fibre bonnet that was not fitted at the time of the upgrade. The carbon-fibre grille and headlight surrounds are in place, and all of the exterior trim is in great shape. The substantial 22-inch wheels are also free of any kerbing damage.

Inside, all of the original upholstery is in excellent order, with minimal signs of use on the seats, commensurate with the low mileage. The diamond quilting gives the cabin a luxurious ambience, while the plentiful headroom and large windows make it a comfortable place to be on longer journeys. It is also equipped with the rear seat entertainment package, which helps to keep the kids occupied while on the move. All of the switchgear works as it should, and there are no warning lights on the dashboard.

The G63 is fresh from a full service at Mercedes-Benz Reading, carried out in March 2021. This included renewal of all fluids, including the transmission oil, plus some warranty recall work and a software update. Four Pirelli Scorpion tyres were fitted at the same time. It has received an annual service at Mercedes-Benz Reading every year, and whatever work has been required or recommended has always been carried out regardless of cost.

The most recent MOT test was on 2 March 2021 at 14,856 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories or defects - the same result as for all three MOT tests since new. Accompanying the car is a full book pack, plus the stamped service record. Copies of maintenance invoices are also present, as are the previous MOT certificates.

This Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG is a high-specification luxury 4x4, benefiting from the enhanced visual presence of the Brabus body kit, while losing none of its impressive off-road agility. The road manners of these late model W463-generation cars are greatly improved over earlier variants, and the beautifully trimmed interior of this example means it makes a genuinely comfortable and refined all-rounder, with exciting performance on tap.
