This 2016 Mercedes-AMG S63 Cabriolet is an elegant, high-performance luxury convertible, which is generously equipped and is presented in excellent condition. Under the bonnet is the twin-turbocharged 5.5-litre V8, which produces 577bhp and a mammoth 663lb-ft of torque. This drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed automatic transmission, allowing this cosseting open-top cruiser to sprint from 0-62mph in 4.2 seconds. The odometer displays just 24,286 miles from new, and it comes with the balance of a Mercedes-Benz warranty.

First registered on 19 April 2016, this S63 Cabriolet was specified in Selenite Grey metallic over a Black Designo Nappa leather interior. Packed with generous standard equipment and desirable options, it is furnished with LED headlights with Swarovski crystals, a head-up display, the Airscarf neck-heating system, a high-end 3D Burmester surround-sound system, and heated seats with heated front armrests. The car has been enjoyed by its current owner for a little over two years.

Finished in the demure hue of Selenite Grey metallic, this AMG’s bodywork presents superbly, with flush, even shut lines and no evidence of any prior damage. The paintwork is described by the seller as being in excellent condition, and has a smooth and glossy appearance around the car. As it was specified with the AMG Night Package, this S63’s door mirrors, window surrounds and lower front bumper insert are all finished in gloss black.

The electrically operated convertible hood fits snugly over the frame below, and there are no rips or tears to its black fabric surface. The car rides on its original set of 20-inch, ten-spoke AMG alloy wheels, which are finished in matt black with diamond cut rims, and are in excellent, unmarked order.

On stepping into the cabin, you are left in no doubt that this is Mercedes-AMG’s flagship luxury convertible. The seats are clad in supple Black Designo Nappa leather, with active multi-contour seats in the front, which are heated, ventilated and feature a massage function. All four seats present very well, and while there are some minor creases to the front seats’ bolsters, this is in keeping with the car’s use and mileage. Featuring glossy carbon-fibre trim, the door cards and dashboard are also in fantastic order. While there are some fine scratches on the surface of the Piano Black storage compartment lid, this does not detract from an otherwise excellent interior.

Factory-fitted equipment includes – but is not limited to – a head-up display, night view assist, a high-end Burmester surround sound system, heated and ventilated front seats with massage function, heated front arm rests, heated rear seats and DAB digital radio, and Mercedes’ COMAND infotainment system. The car is also fitted with a BlackVue dash cam. There are no reported electrical faults, and there are no warning lights showing on the dashboard.

This S63’s last routine maintenance was a full ‘A1’ service, which was carried out in March 2020 at 24,250 miles by Mercedes-Benz Dartford, and included an engine oil and gearbox oil change, as well as replacement of the rear brake discs and pads. Prior to this, Mercedes-Benz Dartford serviced the car in April 2019 at 19,704 miles, when the battery for the keyless-go fob was replaced, along with the air filter element, spark plugs, engine oil and oil filter.

Its last MOT test was conducted on 17 March 2021 at 24,275 miles, which resulted in a clean, first-time pass. All four wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 3 tyres, which are 18 months old and are in very good condition, with 5-6mm of tread remaining.

The car will be accompanied by all of its original handbooks, as well as documentation of its full main dealer service history. The car is covered by the balance of a Mercedes-Benz warranty for almost another year.
