2016 MCLAREN 570S

This low-mileage McLaren 570S is a fine example of the marque’s highly acclaimed ‘Sports Series’ coupe, which is presented in fantastic condition and with a number of desirable factory options. Under the engine cover is the mid-mounted 562bhp twin-turbocharged 3.8-litre V8, which drives the rear wheels via a seven-speed dual-clutch transmission with paddle shifters, allowing this ‘baby’ McLaren to sprint from 0-62mph in a mere 3.2 seconds. The odometer displays just 5,990 miles from new.

This right-hand drive example was first registered on 21 May 2016. Finished in Ice Silver paintwork from McLaren’s ‘Elite’ range and with a Carbon Black and McLaren Orange leather and Alcantara interior, it features a number of optional carbon-fibre exterior components, including the roof, door inserts and front splitter.

Its stopping power has also been enhanced with a set of optional carbon-ceramic brake discs and its driver and passenger can enjoy improved audio quality, thanks to the 12-speaker Bowers and Wilkins sound system. The car is now offered for sale by its current private owner, who acquired it less than one year ago.

Still as fresh and striking as when the car was launched, this 570S’ aluminium bodywork is free of any accident damage, with smooth panels and even factory shut lines. With Dark Palladium grey accents, the Ice Silver paintwork is described by the seller as being in excellent condition and has a bright and glossy appearance across the entire body. The car is fitted with intermediate paint protection film (PPF), which consists of front, side and rear treatment. While it is noted that there is a scratch on the rear bumper, the vendor believes that this has only marked the car’s PPF.

Well-specified from the factory, this 570S features a gloss carbon-fibre roof, and with the lightweight composite also used for the door mirror caps, side intakes, outer door inserts, side skirts, rear diffuser and front splitter. All of the exterior trim presents well, as do the rubbers and light lenses, which are bright and free of any cracks or scratches.

The car rides on a staggered set of lightweight forged alloy wheels with five twin-spokes and diamond-cut faces. Three of the wheels have some kerb scuffs from urban use, but are scheduled to be refurbished during a service visit on 24 November. The wheels house the powerful carbon-ceramic brake discs with McLaren Orange brake callipers.

On swinging open McLaren’s signature dihedral doors and stepping inside, you are met by the attractive two-tone black and orange interior colour scheme. Highlighted by McLaren Orange stitching, Carbon Black Alcantara covers the upper dashboard, the headlining and the main body of the seats, while matching Nappa Leather has been applied the centre console and armrest, as well as the upper portion of the flat-bottomed steering wheel.

This is contrasted by the wheel’s McLaren Orange leather base, with the vibrant hide also covering the lower dashboard and the accent stripes found on the seats, which also feature perforated leather padding on their backrests and bases. The upholstery is in superb condition throughout and the black carpeting is protected by a set of McLaren floor mats.

As well as the standard-issue ‘IRIS’ touchscreen infotainment system, this 570S has been specified with the optional, top-of-the-range Bowers & Wilkins 12-speaker sound system and front and rear parking sensors. All of the interior buttons and switches are described as working without fault and there are no warning messages displayed.

With low mileage, this impressive British-built sports car is in superb mechanical condition and was last serviced by McLaren London, in December 2019 at approximately 5,300 miles. However, the vendor has booked its next service at McLaren for 24 November 2020, which can be completed before handover.

The most recent MOT test was conducted on 18 November 2019 at an indicated 5,265 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. A fresh 12-month MOT certificate will be provided to the next owner. The wheels are shod with a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres in size 225/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/35 ZR20 at the rear, and were replaced less than one year ago.

Accompanying the car are its original handbooks, key and the user manual for the IRIS infotainment system. The seller is also including the car’s McLaren-branded lithium-ion battery charger and its original car cover.

Described by CAR magazine as “a proper supercar for sports car money”, the 570S is a modern performance hero, which blends incredible pace and handling with the levels of comfort and usability usually reserved for grand tourers.

This McLaren 570S is presented in fantastic condition, with desirable carbon-fibre exterior upgrades and very low mileage from new. It is a brilliantly entertaining yet refined sports car that would make a fine introduction to contemporary McLaren ownership.
