2016 MASERATI GRANCABRIO MC CENTENNIAL EDITION

This Maserati GranCabrio MC Centennial Edition is a limited-edition convertible GT with an extensive factory specification and very low mileage. Power comes from a 460bhp 4.7-litre naturally aspirated V8 engine, driving the rear wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows 9,602 miles from new.

First offered for sale in 2014 to celebrate 100 years of the Maserati marque, the Centennial Editions of both the GranTurismo and GranCabrio MC Stradale took the already popular models and added a host of unique cosmetic touches.

These included exclusive paint finishes, colour-coded upholstery in soft Poltrona Frau leather, and with a carbon-fibre rear spoiler, front seat inlays, door handles and door mirrors. The cars also featured unique centre caps on their 20-inch Trofeo Design wheels with ‘100’ logos, which also appear on the carbon-fibre sill covers.

This original UK-market GranCabrio was specified in the triple-coat hue of Rosso Magma, with an optional visible carbon-fibre bonnet. Inside, it features black leather with red accents and white contrast stitching. There are five previous keepers on the V5C, and the car is now offered for sale by the trade.

The bodywork of this Maserati is in excellent condition, with no known prior damage, and its exclusive triple-coat Rosso Magma paint finish is also in great shape, with the vendor noting one slight mark to the front splitter. There are also some very small stone chips around the body that you would expect from road use. The car rides on its original 20-inch Trofeo Design wheels, of which three have light kerbing marks.

Stepping inside, the red accents and carbon-fibre touches add a sporting ambience to the luxury four-seater cabin. All of the black Poltrona Frau leather is in good order, with only minimal wear on the driver’s seat outer bolster and a small nick on the driver’s side door card. All of the glossy carbon-fibre interior trim remains in excellent condition, with no damage or scratches. There are some small marks on the plastic around the steering wheel buttons, but overall this GranCabrio still presents very well indeed. There are no faults with any of the switchgear, and no warning lights.

Its last scheduled maintenance was in March 2021 at 9,600 miles, which comprised a full second service to manufacturer specifications at H.R. Owen Maseratei Manchester. This service also included a full set of new tyres, plus an inspection where it was given a clean bill of health. The car’s first service was carried out in November 2018 at 6,896 miles at Maserati main dealer Meridien Modena.

The most recent MOT test was on 23 June 2020 at 8,227 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever. Its wheels are fitted with a brand-new set of Pirelli P Zero tyres. Accompanying the car is the original leather book pack containing the owner’s manual, service book, and other reference guides. The invoice for the most recent service is also present.
