2016 LOTUS EVORA 400

This Lotus Evora 400 is a superb example of the English marque’s more refined sports coupe. Under the rear engine lid is a 3.5-litre supercharged V6, producing 400bhp and 302 lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via a six-speed manual gearbox. The odometer reads 17,644 miles from new.

Initially registered on 3 September 2016, this UK-market Evora has had just two private owners from new, and is now offered for sale by the trade. It boasts a comprehensive factory specification, with heated red leather seats, reversing camera, folding mirrors, red callipers and a sports exhaust system. It also comes supplied with the cherished registration shown in the photos – VO06 EVO.

Finished in a smart Carbon Grey, the Evora is believed to retain all of its original paintwork, which is in a condition matching its low mileage. The front end, rear wheel arches, and rear bumper have been covered in paint protection film, ensuring that remain in excellent order. The front and rear light lenses and badging is all original and in great condition. The lightweight 19-inch alloy wheels are in very good order, and house red AP Racing callipers

Inside, the Evora’ vibrant red leather upholstery shows only minor signs of use, with slight creasing on the driver’s seat, but with no damage or discolouration. The rear seats are in superb order, suggesting little if any use. All of the main contact points are in good order, and the car is equipped with heated front seats, cruise control and air-conditioning, reversing camera, satellite navigation, and Bluetooth phone preparation. The Alpine infotainment system and dashboard switchgear are in full working order, with no electrical foibles.

This Evora was most recently serviced at 11,050 miles by Oakmere Lotus in July 2018. Prior to this, the same dealer serviced the car at 8,393 miles in September 2017. Its running-in service was carried out by Central Lotus at 1,076 miles in October 2016, and the car is supplied with all the original handbooks and spare keys.

The most recent MOT test was on 2 September 2020 at 16,997 miles. This was a first-time pass, with only one advisory regarding slight wear on the edges of the rear tyres. The wheels are all shod in Michelin Pilot Super Sport tyres, and while the inner edges at the rear are worn more noticeably, the vendor reports there is still around a 4mm depth across the centre of the tread.

Offering stylish design, superb performance and a good deal of practicality for touring, the Lotus Evora 400 combines outstanding dynamics with enough versatility to be a daily driver should the next owner wish. This example is presented in excellent condition throughout, with a handsome specification and relatively low mileage.
