2016 LAMBORGHINI AVENTADOR LP 750-4 SV

This Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV is a sensational flagship supercar, with an aggressive aesthetic, a very high specification, and low mileage from new. Mounted behind the cabin is a 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12, producing a mighty 740bhp and 507lb-ft of torque, coupled to a seven-speed ISR automated manual transmission with paddle shift. It can accelerate from 0-62mph in just 2.8 seconds, and go on to a top speed of 217mph. The odometer shows 8,265 miles from new.

A lightened and focused version of the standard mid-engined supercar, the SV or ‘SuperVeloce’ had not just a significant power boost, but also used additional carbon-fibre elements both inside and out to shed around 50kg of weight. The engine lid, rear air intakes and rear wing are all carbon-fibre as standard, while other panels are super-light composite or aluminium.

An upgraded front splitter and rear diffuser help to boost downforce by up to 180%, while the SV also features sophisticated magnetorheological push-rod suspension and the enhanced Dynamic Steering system.

One of only 600 examples built, this Aventador SV is an original UK-market car, first registered on 19 July 2016. There is just one previous keeper on the V5C. The vendor acquired the car in October 2018, and has since enjoyed around 5,000 miles behind the wheel. This car is a high-specification example, with the vendor noting that almost every option was selected by the first owner.

Over the first year, the vendor covered around 1,000 miles, before taking the SV on a cross-continental European road trip, driving some 4,000 miles over the course of a couple of weeks. Since then, it has been kept safely stored, and has been under a valid SORN certificate since late 2019 - though has been started up and moved to keep the engine lubricated and moving components in good order. It has always been kept under a cover in the vendor’s heated and dehumidified garage when not in use.

The car’s bodywork is described as being in excellent condition, with no known prior damage to any of the panels. As well as the engine lid, rear air intakes and rear wing, this car was also specified with carbon-fibre front bonnet vents and the carbon-fibre frame around the rear grilles. It sports the original special-order ‘Ad Personam’ factory Nero Nemesis satin black paintwork, which has been given a full application of satin paint protection film (PPF). The finish is in great shape, and there are small SV badges and graphics ahead of the rear wheel arches.

It rides on black AppTech alloy wheels, with a 20-inch diameter at the front and 21-inch at the rear, while a dash of colour is provided by the orange brake callipers around the substantial carbon-ceramic discs. In the photos, the plastic front bumper trim under the front is visibly loose, as it was dislodged on the way to the photoshoot; however, this has now been fixed and is flush with the bumper again.

Inside, the cabin is upholstered in a blend of Nero Cosmus leather and black Alcantara, accented by Arancio Leonis leather ‘Y’ stripes, piping and stitching throughout. The trim is in genuinely excellent condition, with only slight signs of use on the driver’s seat bolsters. It was specified with the carbon-fibre bucket seats, carbon-fibre trim around the centre console, and a carbon-fibre instrument binnacle.

As an interesting resolution to the Aventador SV’s famously unyielding seats, the vendor commissioned a pair of removable custom seat cushions - finished to match the original upholstery - which are included in the sale. All of the switchgear is in superb condition, with no faults, and no warning lights on the dashboard.

Its last routine maintenance was carried out in July 2019 at 3,600 miles by H.R. Owen’s Lamborghini London workshop. This was a full third service, and the car has required no other interim repairs or attention. Its fourth service is now overdue, as the vendor decided not to book it during the Covid-19 pandemic; however, he has been advised by Lamborghini that the fourth and fifth-year services can simply be amalgamated into one workshop visit in the near future.

The most recent MOT test was on 5 February 2021 at 8,265 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories or defects reported. All four wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres, which are reported to be in good condition.

Accompanying the car is the owner’s manual and other user guides, as well as the invoice for the most recent service. There is no physical service book, as the vendor understands that this is stored electronically by the dealer network. The original tools, air compressor, gloves, oil top-up bottle, and indoor cover are also included.

This Lamborghini Aventador LP 750-4 SV is a well-presented example of the marque’s riotous lightened V12 supercar, finished in a menacing factory specification, and remaining in excellent condition throughout. After a fresh service to catch up on its deferred maintenance, this SuperVeloce will want for nothing, and it would make an outstanding addition to any collection of rare and high-performance exotics.
