2016 JEEP WRANGLER SAHARA BLACK HAWK

This 2016 Jeep Wrangler Sahara ‘Black Hawk’ is a rugged and imposing custom 4x4, created by specialist tuner The Chelsea Truck Company, and with just one owner from new. It is powered by a 280bhp 3.6-litre V6 engine driving all four wheels through a six-speed automatic transmission. The odometer indicates just 9,669 miles from new.

First registered in September 2016 to The Chelsea Truck Company, it was purchased as a brand-new custom build by the vendor in December that year. This Wrangler Sahara has been extensively modified and converted into the ‘Black Hawk’ edition, which includes unique front wings, grille, bonnet, front bumper, and a colour change to matt black, along with a raft of interior upgrades. During their ownership, the vendor has ensured the vehicle has been regularly maintained, regardless of the low mileage.

As expected from a vehicle that has covered less than 10,000 miles in its lifetime, the exterior condition is still superb. There are minor signs of gravel rash to the rear mud flaps, a small stain to the lower offside rear corner of the hard top, and a few front-end stone chips, though these are commensurate with light road use. The upgraded Kahn alloy wheels are in excellent shape, as are the unique bumpers and wider wings supplied as part of the conversion package.

The ‘Black Hawk’ edition also includes numerous upgrades for the interior. The standard front seats are upgraded to a set of wing-backed sport seats, while the entire interior is re-trimmed in hexagonal-quilted Burgundy leather which is nigh-on immaculate throughout. The door sills show minor scuffing, as does the boot floor, but overall the car is in great condition. All of the switches and controls are reported to be working perfectly, with no warning lights on the dashboard.

The most recent service took place at 8,700 miles during November 2020 at Jeep specialist Lipscombe of Canterbury. This work comprised of a ‘Bronze’ service, including a full health check and the usual oil and filter change. Prior to this, the car was serviced by Northgate Garage at 7,374 miles, and the Jeep recall for front impact sensor wires was taken care of in June 2017.

The latest MOT test was carried out on 1 December 2020, and resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. The all-terrain Cooper STT Pro tyres are all in excellent condition, ranging from 12.7mm to 14mm of tread. Supplied with the vehicle are the original handbooks, service log and tool kit.
