2016 JEEP WRANGLER 75TH ANNIVERSARY EDITION - LHD

This Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition is an excellent example of the iconic 4x4, which has been treated to a range of discerning modifications to make it an even more capable leisure vehicle. Under the bonnet is a 3.6-litre petrol V6, coupled to a five-speed automatic transmission with part-time four-wheel drive. The odometer shows 19,942 km (12,391 miles).

The 75th Anniversary edition featured some bespoke finishes and a number of options as standard, including special Sarge Green paintwork, part-leather and Ombre Mesh cloth upholstery, heated front seats, a unique passenger grab handle, and with the air vent and instrument bezels finished in the Moroccan Sun bronze hue. It was also equipped with the Power Dome bonnet and bespoke badging.

This left-hand-drive Jeep was sourced as a new car on behalf of the current owner by the Chelsea Truck Company. It was then imported to the UK and re-registered here on 1 February 2017. The business also carried out some initial modifications, before it was handed over to him in March 2017.

Prior to taking delivery, the upgrades installed by the Chelsea Truck Company included a Kahn signature front grille, a Rugged Ridge winch and steel bumpers, Rugged Ridge snorkel, and an upgraded Pioneer satellite navigation system with an Audison three-channel amplifier.

Since acquiring the car, he has had further modifications carried out by custom Jeep specialist FTE 4x4. These have included 17-inch KMC XD Rockstar alloy wheels, a 1.5-inch TeraFlex suspension lift kit, and Rugged Ridge tubular side steps. A new Mopar hardtop - with Mopar soundproofing - was fitted in June 2020, and the headlights were upgraded to LED items with additional 20-watt LED spot lamps. A performance ECU was installed, though the original is included in the sale, and the standard exhaust was upgraded to a custom double-out cat-back system in stainless steel with a black coating.

The body is reported to be in excellent condition, with no accident damage to any of the panels, and its Sarge Green finish is in very good order, with only minor chips and superficial scratches that you would expect after a few years of use. It has been used as a leisure vehicle for camping and surfing trips, and the vendor states that it has been a reliable and enjoyable cruiser. The black alloy wheels are in superb condition.

Inside, the part-leather and part-cloth upholstery is in great shape, with no damage whatsoever, and only modest signs of use commensurate with the low mileage. The black carpets are protected by floor mats in the front and rear, and the durable plastic trims around the dashboard, centre console and door panels are all in good order. While this is a seriously capable off-road machine, it is also a great road trip companion, with the cabin’s climate control, heated seats, cruise control and folding panel over the front seats making it an enjoyable place to spend time.

The last scheduled maintenance was in January 2020 at 16,164 km, when it received a general check-up service to the manufacturer specifications at main dealer Motor Village in Marylebone. The vendor reports that it has been regularly serviced while in his care.

Its first MOT test was carried out on 24 February 2020 at 16,476 km, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. The BFGoodrich 285/70/R17 tyres were fitted by FTE 4x4 when the wheels were upgraded, and are still in very good condition with ample tread.

Accompanying the car is the original soft top (which has never been fitted), as well as the Freedom panels that have also never been used and remain in their boxes. The Sunrider top is included and currently fitted to the Jeep. A new Rhino Rack roof rack is available as well, which has also never been installed. All of the original handbooks are present, as well as all service history since its arrival in the UK and paperwork on the modifications.

This Jeep Wrangler 75th Anniversary Edition is a superb all-rounder, offering sufficient comfort and practicality to be used every day, while being rugged and well-equipped enough to tackle a wide range of off-road environments. Its bespoke finishes and discerning aftermarket modifications give it even greater versatility, as well as terrific presence.
