2016 AUDI TT RS COUPE

This low-mileage, well-maintained Audi TT RS was among the first to come to the UK, and it has stayed in the hands of its first owner ever since. The car is powered by a characterful 2.5-litre five-cylinder engine that produces 395bhp and enables the car to achieve a 0-62mph time of 3.7 seconds – the same as an entry-level R8. The odometer shows just 6,790 miles from new, and it remains under an extended Audi warranty until December 2021.

First registered on 15 December 2016, this car was one of the first cars allocated to the UK market. Audi initially sent just 200 vehicles to the UK, before closing the order books temporarily to meet demand for the RS3 hot hatchback, with which the TT RS shared an engine. The seller snapped the car up shortly after order books were closed, bagging one of the pre-specified stock vehicles. Among other things, the seller reports these original cars were louder than later production cars, thanks to a slightly different ECU map.

Presented in stunning Ara Blue Crystal, this TT RS is in excellent condition. Its specification includes the Sports Exhaust and 20-inch seven-spoke alloys, as well as the Exterior Aluminium styling package. The bodywork is virtually unmarked, with the vendor noting in particular one small stone chip on the bonnet. The car also has a small crack in the plastic front grille above the TT RS badge and the offside rear alloy has a very small chip measuring roughly 1-2mm in diameter.

Upon taking delivery, the vendor commissioned TK Detailing in Basingstoke to give the car a New Car Protection Detail which included applying ceramic coatings as soon as Audi’s protective transportation covers were removed from the vehicle, and the car has been stored in a garage ever since when not in use, keeping it out of bad weather.

As you might expect from such a low-mileage car, the interior is also in fantastic condition. There are no marks on the seats or dashboard, and the car comes with plenty of equipment. The Storage and Luggage Package is fitted, along with the Comfort and Sound Package, which includes a Bang & Olufsen stereo. The car also boasts electric folding, heated and dimming door mirrors. Everything works as it should and there are no dashboard warning lights.

Main dealer Reading Audi has carried out each of this TT’s services since the seller purchased the car at the end of 2016. The most recent service was in December 2019 at 6,452 miles, when the dealer carried out a full oil, brake fluid and Haldex service. Prior to this, the other services were in December 2018, when the car had covered 4,937 miles, and in February 2018, when Reading Audi carried out an oil service at 2,976 miles. No other maintenance or repairs have been necessary during the car’s life so far.

The most recent MOT test was on 13 December 2019 at 6,452 miles, which resulted in a clean pass. The tyres are in good condition and have 4mm of tread at the front and 5mm at the rear.

Included with the car are all the original handbooks and manuals, as well as two original keys and receipts for all the services. There is no service book, however, because Audi stores such records electronically.

A real baby supercar, the Audi TT RS has long been a desirable model to those in the know. The facelifted car was arguably impacted by emissions regulations, but this early example is running the original ECU map, which the vendor is keen to stress gives it a more exciting character. Presented in fabulous condition and with a comprehensive service history, it is ready to thrill its next owner on their favourite roads.
