2015 ZENOS E10 S

This Zenos E10 S is an exciting low-volume British sports car, which brings together thoroughly contemporary construction methods with an analogue driving experience. It is powered by a 2.0-litre turbocharged Ford EcoBoost engine, producing 250bhp and 295lb ft of torque, coupled to the optional six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows just 1,696 miles from new.

Weighing in at around 725kg, the E10 S boasts genuinely thrilling performance, capable of 0-60mph in 4.0 seconds and with a top speed of 145mph. It makes for a superb fun road car, but is even more exploitable on track.

To enhance the standard factory specification, this E10 S was fitted with a range of desirable options. In addition to the six-speed gearbox, these include track-tuned springs and adjustable dampers, a full heated windscreen and wipers, and ventilated front discs with uprated calipers. It also has a quick-release steering wheel, six-point safety harnesses, twin-skinned composite seats with adjustment for the passenger, and heated seats for both driver and passenger. The result is one of the most high-specification examples of the model, with a new list price of £37,220.

This is an original right-hand drive car, supplied new to an enthusiast in the UK in September 2015. He used the car sparingly, but entirely as intended, including one or two track days, and remains the only registered keeper on the V5C log book. This Zenos is now offered by the trade.

As you would expect from a car with such low mileage, the bodywork and paint on this E10 S remains in superb condition. There are some small chips around the front bumper and nose, but the black, grey and bright blue composite panels are in great shape. Its light units are all undamaged, and the other body trims are sound. Some very minor tarnishing is present around the tip of the exhaust and the rear mesh panel. The car rides on MSW alloy wheels in size 16-inch at the front and 17-inch at the rear, finished in satin black.

In the cabin, the twin-skinned lightweight and padded gloss black seats are in excellent condition, and are fitted with six-point Schroth Racing harnesses. The three-spoke steering wheel is wrapped in synthetic suede, while the gear knob is a smart metal sphere. Its two screen displays are working as they should, and there are no faults reported with any of the switchgear. The interior also features a 12-volt power socket.

With tried-and-tested Ford mechanicals under the engine lid, the E10 is a straightforward car to work on, with a plentiful supply of powertrain components. The sole private owner has serviced and maintained the car from new.

Its most recent MOT test was on 1 March 2019 at 1,367 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories. The car will be supplied with a new MOT certificate for the next owner. Its wheels are shod in Avon ZZR tyres in size 195/50 ZR16 at the front and 225/45 ZR17 at the rear, which are in very good condition with plenty of tread.

Accompanying this car is all of the original order and invoice paperwork, which confirms its full specification and all of the fitted options, along with its build date.

Driving the car at launch for Evo magazine, motoring journalist Dan Prosser praised the car, concluding: “The highest aim for any trackday car is that it’s fun and exciting to drive. The Zenos is certainly those things – it draws you into carrying more speed through corners and braking later, into getting lines and apex points just right. As any good track ready sports car should be the E10 S is engaging and rewarding on circuit”.

This Zenos E10 S is a sophisticated and exciting road and track car, boasting a wonderfully direct driving experience, and terrific composure at speed. It was built to a very high factory specification, incorporating the track-focused setup with adjustable Bilstein coilover suspension, as well as a full heated windscreen and the six-speed gearbox. A low-mileage example that wants for nothing, this E10 S will undoubtedly thrill and impress its next owner in equal measure.
