This 2015 Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake is a superb example of the marque’s high-performance estate car, supported by a full Mercedes-Benz service history. Under the bonnet sits a 2.0-litre twin-scroll turbocharged four-cylinder engine, producing 355bhp, teamed with Mercedes’ seven-speed AMG Speedshift gearbox and AMG’s Performance 4Matic four-wheel drive system. The Shooting Brake will launch from 0-62mph in just 4.7 seconds and is limited to 155mph. The odometer currently indicates 76,000 miles from new.

First registered in July 2015, this CLA 45 AMG has three previous keepers on the log book. It has been in single family ownership for four years, and the full Mercedes-Benz service history has been maintained.

The Shooting Brake boasts a stiffer body than its saloon counterpart, with softer rear springs, and this example was also specified with the panoramic glass roof. The vendor notes the bumper and grille have undergone a repair following an accident with a bird, and there are also some light scratches on the black front bumper trim as a result. They have also reported some stone chips commensurate with the car’s age and a small area of paint peel on the front bumper, though the white finish presents well overall. The vehicle rides on black 19-inch AMG alloy wheels, which present with a few marks, but remain in good order.

In the cabin, the Shooting Brake’s two-tone black and red upholstery is in excellent condition, with the very light wear to the seats’ suede centre panels, but appearing in very presentable condition overall. The red trim continues throughout the stitching, seat belts and air vents, injecting some colour into the elegant black and silver dashboard. The driver controls and switches present well, while no electrical issues have been reported and there are no warning lights present on the dashboard.

The last service was undertaken by Mercedes-Benz in Crawley at 73,986 miles in October 2020, where technicians performed a Service B, changing the engine oil, transmission oil and filters. Prior to this, the car was seen in January and September 2019, again by Mercedes-Benz in Crawley, at 50,421 and 61,949 miles respectively.

The most recent MOT test was on 14 July 2020 at 73,986 miles, which resulted in a pass with two minor defects and two advisories. Both front brake hoses were found to be slightly twisted with insecure mountings, while both front tyres were worn around the edges. A small bulge is also visible on the offside front tyre sidewall, so it would be prudent for the next owner to replace the front axle tyres.

Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manual and a full Mercedes-Benz service history with digital record – which is summarised below and shown in the photo gallery.

This Mercedes-Benz CLA 45 AMG Shooting Brake is a practical daily driver with a high-performance edge, making it an ideal all-rounder for a buyer seeking a fun family car. Supported by comprehensive maintenance history, and with a great specification, this vehicle could be an ideal introduction to AMG ownership.
