2015 MERCEDES-BENZ AMG GTS

This Mercedes-AMG GT S is a thrilling sports car, which blends tremendous outright performance with a luxurious cabin, and which is presented in great condition. It is powered by the 515bhp 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged M178 V8 engine, coupled to the seven-speed AMG SpeedShift dual-clutch transmission. The odometer shows just 26,639 miles from new, which is supported by the full main dealer service history.

Completed in June 2015, this GT S was specified from the factory in Iridium Silver, complemented by a full leather interior. It includes the Premium Package, along with aluminium interior trim, red seat belts, and the selectable AMG Performance Exhaust.

It was first registered in July 2015, and there are two previous keepers on the V5C log book. The present keeper has owned the car for a couple of months, but is looking to sell the car to enable him to buy a different vehicle.

The bodywork is in very good condition, with the only notable blemish in the paint being a small scuff on the nearside front bumper, at the top of the air intake. Otherwise, the finish is smooth and even all around the body. The front grille badge, door handle tops, wing mirror caps, and rear badges are all wrapped in gloss black, which is reversible should the next owner wish to put it back to the factory appearance.

It is fitted with the AMG twin five-spoke alloys, with a 19-inch diameter at the front and 20-inch at the rear. They remain in excellent condition, with only a small kerbing mark on the nearside front wheel. The standard drilled brake discs are fitted, with the red painted calipers.

Inside, this Mercedes-AMG is trimmed in full black Nappa leather, which shows only signs of very light use in line with the mileage. The comfortable seats feature full electric adjustment as well as three-stage heating, and memory settings for both driver and passenger. The AMG Performance steering wheel is fitted, trimmed in matching black Nappa Leather and Dinamica micro-fibre suede.

The Premium Package includes the Burmester sound system, panoramic glass roof, front and rear parking sensors, Keyless Go, and a reversing camera. The cabin also features dual-zone climate control and a suede headlining. At the back of the car, the luggage compartment is in great shape, with a storage net on one side for smaller items, and retaining the retractable tonneau cover.

This Mercedes-AMG GT S has full Mercedes-Benz main dealer service history from new. The last scheduled maintenance was carried out on 16 October 2019 at 25,119 miles by Hughes of Beaconsfield Limited. This comprised renewal of the engine oil and oil filter, brake fluid, gearbox oil, dust filter, and a new battery for the key fob.

The service before this was in October 2018 at 21,427 miles, when the spark plugs and air filter were also replaced, in addition to the engine oil and filter. Services in August 2017 and July 2016 are also confirmed by the Mercedes-Benz digital service history record.

Its most recent MOT test was on 10 July 2019 at 23,784 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with the only advisory being that all four tyres were worn and due for renewal. It is currently fitted with Michelin tyres in size 265/35 ZR19 at the front and 295/30 ZR20 at the rear.

At its launch, James Taylor of CAR magazine gave the GT S a five-star verdict, concluding: “Intoxicatingly fast, comfortable over long distances and blessed with balanced, accessible handling it manages to be both a relaxed grand tourer and an inspiring sports car. It’s a car you’d quickly feel at home driving, but would take far longer to tire of.”

This Mercedes-AMG GT S is a great example of one of the best all-round performance cars of recent years. It could perhaps be described as a muscle car in designer clothing, such is the combination of its sensational pace and undeniably elegant design, and it will undoubtedly delight its next owner, wherever they choose to drive it.
