2015 LOTUS ELISE 20TH ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL EDITION

This Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Special Edition is a lightweight special, presented in pristine condition and with low mileage. It is powered by the 217bhp 1.8-litre supercharged inline-four engine, coupled to a close-ratio six-speed manual transmission. The odometer shows 7,800 miles from new.

Based on the pared-back Elise S Club Racer specification, the 20th Anniversary car features a lightweight centre console, sport seats, and forged wheels to reduce the mass even further. The special edition was available in selected colour schemes, and was finished with the matt black exterior package. It boasts a kerb weight of just 914kg, and can sprint from 0-60mph in 4.5 seconds.

First registered in November 2015, there are two previous registered keepers recorded on the log book. The seller has owned the car for the last year, and has enjoyed around 2,000 miles behind the wheel.

The seller reports that the body panels and paintwork are in superb condition, with only very minor stone chips from road use that are shown in the photo gallery. It benefits from a full condition report video presented by Blackbeard's Detailing, which is embedded below. The fabric roof is in great shape, and fits snugly over the frame bars. Its rear diffuser, transom panel, roll hoop cover, and wing mirrors are all finished in matt black, and are in very good order. It rides on lightweight matt black forged wheels, with a 16-inch diameter at the front and 17-inch at the rear.

Inside, the car is equipped with the lightweight sports seats, upholstered in black leather and accented by Solar Yellow aperture trims and stitching. The door panels are trimmed to match. Its door shuts and jambs are in great shape, with only very slight wear marks on the black cover plate on the driver’s side. It was specified with the optional air-conditioning, and while it has speakers installed, there is no stereo fitted.

The car has a comprehensive maintenance history at Lotus Edinburgh, through two different dealer groups. It was last serviced in April 2019 at 5,653 miles, which also included renewal of the air filter.

Prior to this, the car was also seen and serviced in May 2018 at 5,545 miles, and in June 2017 at 3,943 miles. The brake fluid was also renewed during the latter.

Its most recent MOT test was on 12 April 2019 at 5,653 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. Given the six-month extension due to Covid-19, the certificate is still valid until 11 October 2020.

The wheels are shod in Yokohama Advan Neova tyres, in size 175/55 R16 at the front and 225/45 ZR17 at the rear, which have just over 4mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car are all of the original books, including the owner’s manual and the stamped guarantee and maintenance record. The factory-supplied tool kit and EU Certificate of Conformity are also present.

This Lotus Elise 20th Anniversary Special Edition is a wonderfully pure and engaging roadster, based on the lauded lightweight credentials of the supercharged Club Racer model. It has been enjoyed as intended by its owners, but has been kept in superb condition, as the video below demonstrates.
