2015 JAGUAR XFR-S SPORTBRAKE

This 2015 Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake is a remarkably rare, potent and practical ‘super estate’, which is presented in an arresting factory colour scheme and with low mileage from new. Under the bonnet is a 5.0-litre supercharged V8, which produces 542bhp and 502lb/ft of torque. Mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic transmission, this drives the rear wheels via an electronically controlled limited-slip differential, allowing this Jaguar to sprint from 0-60mph in just 4.6 seconds. The odometer indicates 12,374 miles from new.

First registered on 20 September 2015, this XFR-S was specified with eye-catching Ultra Blue metallic paintwork over a Warm Charcoal leather interior, which is punctuated by Reims Blue stitching. It is also fitted with an optional set of 20-inch Varuna alloy wheels and is equipped with adaptive xenon headlamps with Intelligent High Beam Assist. The seller has enjoyed the last five-and-a-half years behind the wheel. He understands that the Sportbrake version of the XFR-S remains an incredibly rare model, and two sources have indicated to him that just 61 examples were built.

The vibrant Ultra Blue finish is in very good condition, with only a few minor stone chips, in line with the car’s road use. The bonnet and passenger-side rear quarter have been resprayed to correct stone chips and scratches, and the bonnet vents have been painted black to provide a contrast against the surrounding blue. It was treated to a paint correction treatment and ceramic coating in July 2020. The 20-inch alloy wheels are finished in gloss black and were refurbished in January 2018. All four are in great shape, with no blemishes or scuffs to speak of.

The car has required a few minor bodywork repairs in the past, but these have been carried out to a high standard. They included repair and strengthening of the front bumper’s carbon-fibre insert after the car nudged a wall, replacement of the lower section of the front bumper after it was damaged by a speedbump, a repair to a crack in the nearside sill skirt, and replacement of the offside sill skirt after damage caused by a car jack.

Moving inside, the cabin is trimmed in Warm Charcoal leather, which is accented by Reims Blue stitching and is in very good condition throughout. Both of the front sports seats are in excellent order, and while there are some very minor creases on their bolsters, this is commensurate with the car’s age. The rear seats show few signs of use, and all the interior trim is very smart, with some small scratches on the rear driver’s-side door card but no other noticeable marks.

Factory-fitted equipment includes front and rear parking sensors, a premium Meridian sound system, electrically adjustable front seats and climate control. All of the interior buttons, switches and electrical items work without fault, and there are no warning lights displays on the dashboard.

This high-performance estate’s most recent routine maintenance was its 60-month service, which was carried out in December 2020 at 12,282 miles by Lancaster Jaguar, Reading. A general service, this included an oil and filter change, and the car’s ECU was also updated. Prior to this, the car was serviced in September 2019 at 11,466 miles when the brake fluid was replaced and the air conditioning system was treated, and in May 2018 at 8,430 miles, when the system software was updated and the battery was replaced.

During the seller’s ownership, various other maintenance items have been attended to, including replacement of the rear differential pinion oil seal in September 2018, a four-wheel alignment in November 2017, and replacement of the rear passenger-side shock absorber in October 2016.

This contemporary Jaguar’s last MOT test was conducted on 22 September 2020 at 12,245 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories. All four wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres, which are approximately three years old and have a little over 5mm of usable tread remaining. The car will be accompanied by its complete book pack, two keys and full documentation of its maintenance history.

Offering acres of storage space thanks to its substantial boot and ample performance courtesy of its 542bhp supercharged 5.0-litre V8 engine, this Jaguar XFR-S Sportbrake is a rare model that might just be the driving enthusiast’s ideal family car. Presented in very smart condition and benefiting from excellent service history, it is equally well-suited to ferrying flat-pack furniture or storming across the continent, and is sure to stand out in any car park when surrounded by its more common German rivals.
