2015 AUDI S3 SPORTBACK

This Audi S3 Sportback is a hugely capable and versatile hot hatch, which combines seriously impressive pace with a practical and beautifully finished cabin. Under the bonnet is a 306bhp 2.0-litre turbocharged inline-four, with Quattro all-wheel-drive via the seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission. The odometer shows 62,359 miles from new.

First registered in April 2015, there are two previous registered keepers on the log book. The seller acquired the car nearly three years ago, and has driven and enjoyed it as intended, racking up the majority of its mileage to date.

The bodywork is in good order, with factory shut lines and panel gaps. Its black paint finish does have stone chips in the common areas around the front bumper and bonnet in particular. There is also a larger chip on the offside A-pillar, which is clearly shown in the photo gallery. The rest of the images provide an accurate illustration of the car’s condition. The seller has customised the exterior with black badges and trim pieces, including wrapped roof bars - though these are easy to put back to standard. The car rides on 18-inch 10-spoke alloy wheels with a matt titanium finish, which have some kerbing marks and chips around the rims.

Audi’s modern interiors are renowned for their build quality and visual appeal, and the S3 is no different. All four seats are upholstered in high-quality black Nappa leather with quilted detailing and white stitching. There are some light creases on the front seat bolsters, but in general the leather is in great shape. As you would expect given the mileage, there are some small scuffs and marks on the interior plastics, and some wear to the front floor mats in particular. Factory-fitted equipment includes heated seats, satellite navigation, climate control, and adaptive cruise control. The seller reports no faults with any of the controls or electrics.

The most recent service was carried out at 59,000 miles by Berkshire Garage in Newbury, which included renewal of the engine oil and filter, fuel filter, air filter, and spark plugs. Prior to this, its other recent maintenance visits were in April 2019 and September 2018. During the seller’s ownership, the brake discs and pads have been renewed, along with all four tyres.

Its last MOT test was on 1 April 2019 at 45,069 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories. Due to the six-month extension, the next annual inspection is not required until 29 October 2020. The wheels are fitted with 225/40 ZR18 Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tyres all round, which were fitted in March 2020 and are in virtually as-new condition.

Accompanying the car is the complete original book pack, the space-saver spare wheel, jack, tool kit, and two keys. The seller reports that the car has a full service history, all at Audi main dealers with the exception of the most recent maintenance.

This Audi S3 Sportback is a premium performance car, which offers a compelling blend of pace, comfort, and everyday usability. It has been in use as an exciting daily driver for most of its life, and has proved to be a very reliable and enjoyable hot hatch.
