This Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is a rare and thrilling super GT, presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition, and in a timeless colour scheme. It is powered by the astonishing 5.9-litre naturally aspirated ‘AM28’ V12 engine, producing a lofty 565bhp and 457lb-ft of torque, driving the rear wheels via the Sportshift III seven-speed automated manual with paddle shifters. It is capable of sprinting from 0-62mph in just 3.9 seconds, with a top speed of 205mph. The odometer shows 13,965 miles from new.
This UK-delivered example was supplied by Grange Aston Martin of Exeter in November 2015, and there is just one previous registered keeper on the log book. It was specified with nearly £20,000 of factory options, which are detailed below. The seller purchased the car just over two years ago, and has covered some 3,500 miles on the road.
The bodywork and paint are described as being in excellent condition, with the only blemish being one tiny chip on the face of the bonnet. Otherwise, the Lightning Silver paint looks superb over all of the panels, and is accented by the high-gloss roof panel, black grille surround, and rear panel between the tail lights.
Carbon-fibre is used for the front splitter, grille frame, bonnet vents, side strakes, and the rear diffuser, all of which are in great shape with no damage. It rides on 19-inch five dual-spoke alloy wheels, which are free of kerb marks.
Inside, the seats are trimmed in black leather, which extends to the dashboard panel, instrument binnacle, and door cards. All of the upholstery is in excellent condition, accented by white contrast stitching throughout. The headlining is finished in light grey, and there are Piano Black trims along the door cards, and in the central dashboard panel. Both seats feature electric adjustment, memory settings, and heating. Ahead of the driver is an Alcantara-trimmed steering wheel. Cabin equipment includes cruise control, front and rear parking sensors, and a reversing camera.
Its last scheduled maintenance was carried out in September 2019 at 13,572 miles, by Aston Martin Birmingham. Prior to this, it was serviced in April 2018 at 10,286 miles, and in December 2016 at 7,369 miles, both at Aston Martin Bristol. During the seller’s ownership, a faulty exhaust back box and a weeping oil pipe have been replaced under warranty.
The most recent MOT test was on 2 October 2019 at 13,648 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with only one advisory regarding wear on the rear tyres - which were subsequently replaced. The wheels are fitted with Pirelli P Zero tyres in size 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 295/30 ZR19 at the rear. The front tyres have around 6mm of tread remaining, while the rear tyres are brand-new.
Accompanying this V12 Vantage S is the original stamped maintenance record, the service invoice from the seller’s ownership, and the presentation box containing the spare keys and fobs. All of the original handbooks are also present.
At launch, Autocar magazine praised the wonderfully direct feel of the V12 Vantage S, concluding: “In a digital world, this mega Vantage is refreshingly analogue and its raw, aggressive nature is boldly apparent, just as Aston Martin intended”.
This Aston Martin V12 Vantage S is a stunning British supercar presented in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition. It offers staggering performance, with an analogue driving experience that is now largely absent in the new car market. Undoubtedly an instant classic as the last of the pure Vantage model line, this is a thrilling car that would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
