2014 PORSCHE 911 (991) CARRERA 4S

This Porsche 911 Carrera 4S is a superb example of one of the very best versions of the 991 model, boasting a rare colour scheme and well-optioned factory specification. Its engine is the 3.8-litre naturally aspirated flat-six, producing 394bhp, with four-wheel-drive via the seven-speed PDK automatic transmission. The odometer shows 32,171 miles from new.

The factory specification includes the smart Anthracite Brown metallic paint, and an interior trimmed in high-grade Luxor Beige leather. It is also equipped with the desirable Sport Chrono package, sport tailpipes, Power Steering Plus, heated multi-function steering wheel, and extended leather. It was first registered in May 2014, and has two previous keepers on the V5C log book.

As you would hope for with a car of this age, the bodywork remains in superb condition. The only blemishes noted by the seller are some light stone chips to the front end, as well as on the inner facings of the wheel arches. Its paint hue is carried across into the front air intakes, and the window surrounds are finished in aluminium. There is also protective film applied ahead of the rear wheel arches. It sits on a set of 20-inch Carrera S alloy wheels, which have coloured Porsche crest centre caps and which are pristine. Behind the wheels are the standard brake discs, accented by red painted calipers.

In the cabin, the Luxor Beige Leather is in excellent order, with no damage and only a few signs of light use. There is also leather across the door panels and dashboard, including around the air vents and PCM screen. The sport seats have perforated centre panels, double stitching, and three-stage heating, and the roof is trimmed with beige suede headlining.

Factory-fitted features include the 911 ’50 Years Edition’ package, heated multi-function steering wheel with mahogany trim, additional mahogany accents around the interior, and Porsche Communication Management with touch-screen satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity. There is also DAB digital radio, cruise control, dual-zone climate control, front and rear parking sensors, PASM, and xenon headlights.

Its last scheduled maintenance was in January 2020 at 32,151 miles, carried out by Porsche specialist Dove House Motor Company in Northamptonshire. It consisted of a minor service, as well as renewal of the brake fluid.

Prior to this, it was seen and serviced by Porsche Centre Cambridge in January 2018 at 15,360 miles, when a fresh set of spark plugs was also fitted, and by Porsche Centre Hatfield in May 2016 at 11,253 miles. The brake fluid has been replaced during each of its three workshop visits to date.

The most recent MOT test was on 23 March 2020 at 32,170 miles, which resulted in a clean pass with no advisories whatsoever. The wheels were fitted with a fresh set of Pirelli P Zero tyres in January 2020, in size 245/35 ZR20 at the front and 305/30 ZR20 at the rear.

Accompanying the car is a complete book pack, including the driver’s manual, user guides, and the stamped guarantee and maintenance record. The original tools, towing eye, and locking wheel nut are also present, along with a tyre inflator kit.

Driving the 991 Carrera 4S for Evo magazine in 2013, Henry Catchpole said it was “the best current 911”, stating: “Adding a couple of driveshafts to the front axle really seems to have improved the 991. [...] You really can lean on the more tenacious front end of the C4S, the wheel feeding back extra information to your hands.”

This Porsche 991 Carrera 4S is a contemporary high-performance coupe, which benefits from a high factory specification, and is presented in a handsome and rare colour combination. Still fresh from a recent service, and with a new set of tyres, this modern 911 wants for nothing and is ready to be used all year round.
