This Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Estate offers a remarkable combination of practicality and pace, and is presented in superb condition. It is powered by the 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged M157 V8 engine, with rear-wheel drive via the seven-speed AMG SpeedShift MCT semi-automatic gearbox. The odometer shows 56,862 miles from new.

First registered in March 2014, this E63 AMG has always been used as intended and has been kept very well maintained. Its first two owners accumulated around 16,000 miles behind the wheel, before the current keeper acquired the car four years ago. He has since added another 40,000 miles to the total, using it as regularly as functional, fast and comfortable family transport. This Mercedes-Benz is compliant with Euro 6 emissions standards, which means that it can be driven within London’s Ultra Low Emission Zone (ULEZ) at no charge.

The exterior of this car remains in great shape, and has evidently been cared for by each of its keepers with frequent washes and waxes to protect the paintwork. The vendor reports no significant blemishes around the body, and the full photo set below shows only a few small stone chips that you would expect given its everyday duties. It sits on a set of 19-inch 10-spoke AMG alloys, with matt black painted spokes and a high-sheen metal rim. All of the wheels are in superb order with no kerbing scuffs or chips.

Its interior is in equally impressive condition, with very little wear to speak of on the black Nappa leather upholstery. The front seats are electrically adjustable, with three-stage heating as well as memory settings for both driver and passenger. The leather and suede trim on the AMG Performance steering wheel is also in good order.

Bright metallic trim pieces are complemented by black Ash wood veneers, and there is also leather trim around the instrument binnacle and door panel tops. This is a very well-equipped car, and features dynamic LED headlights with high-beam assist, nine airbags around the cabin and a forward collision warning system with active brake intervention.

Factory-fitted equipment also includes front and rear parking sensors with Active Parking Assist, an electric sliding panoramic glass sunroof, automatically dimming rear-view and wing mirrors, and automatic climate control. There is also push-button start, as well as the Comand media system with satellite navigation, DVD player, Bluetooth and DAB digital radio, connected to a 14-speaker surround-sound system.

At the back of the car, the luggage bay is in excellent condition, with no damage to the carpeted lining. It features an electric powered tailgate and through-loading system, and the original space-saver spare wheel is also still present.

The car has been regularly serviced at the manufacturer’s stated intervals, with the last scheduled maintenance having been carried out in July 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Chelsea.

Its last MOT test was on 4 June 2019 at 49,374 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with only one advisory about a tyre pressure monitoring light being on. It is understood that this was down to the omission of a reset procedure when new tyres were fitted around the same time, and there is no longer any warning light present. The wheels are fitted with a set of Pirelli P Zero tyres that were fitted in June 2019, in size 255/35 ZR19 at the front and 285/30 R19 at the rear. They remain in superb condition with around 6mm of tread left.

The car is accompanied by the original Mercedes-Benz owner’s wallet as well as all of the books that came with the car when supplied new.

This Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG Estate is a smart and sophisticated car that remains in excellent condition. While the exhaust rumble makes it more akin to a muscle car at idle, this is a spacious and well-appointed family transporter that can dispatch long journeys with ease, without sacrificing its ability to thrill from behind the wheel.
