2014 MERCEDES-BENZ A45 AMG

This 2014 Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is an exciting hot hatch with a comprehensive maintenance history. Under the bonnet sits the turbocharged 2.0-litre engine, producing 355bhp and 332lb-ft of torque, coupled with the seven-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer currently indicates 51,323 miles.

First registered in September 2014, this Mercedes has been in the hands of its current keeper for nearly three years. It left the factory finished in Northern Lights Violet, with the interior in black leather with red seat piping, red contrast stitching, and carbon trim.

This A45’s bodywork is all in great shape, and its paintwork is believed to be entirely original – though the aftermarket Piecha-style rear wing has been resprayed in gloss black. The finish presents with some small stone chips on the front end, though these are commensurate with the mileage and all of the body trims are in good condition. The car rides on a set of refurbished 19-inch alloy wheels, which are covered under warranty until February 2022.

Inside, the black leather upholstery is in good order, though some light scuffs can be seen on the driver’s bolster. The red piping in the AMG heated sport seats is all in good shape, as are the leather-clad door cards. The carbon dashboard trim does not appear to have sustained any notable blemishes, though one or two very small marks can be seen on the piano black switchgear surround. The cabin is also equipped with satellite navigation and a panoramic roof, and all of the electrics are believed to work as they should.

The last routine maintenance was undertaken in June 2020 at 47,081 miles, where technicians at Mercedes main dealer JCT600 in York changed the engine oil and filter. Prior to this, technicians at JCT600 carried out similar routine maintenance in June of 2019 and 2018.

The most recent MOT test was on 23 June 2020 at 47,081 miles, which resulted in a pass with two advisories to monitor worn front tyres – though four new Uniroyal tyres were fitted in February 2021. Accompanying the vehicle are the original owner’s manuals, along with a raft of maintenance invoices.

This Mercedes-Benz A45 AMG is a highly usable hot hatch, with a lesser-seen and stylish factory finish, and which has been maintained by main agents from new. Remaining in very smart condition throughout, this AMG would make a great daily driver or weekend B-road companion.
