2014 JAGUAR F-TYPE R

This Jaguar F-Type R Coupe is a beautiful modern sports car with thrilling performance, presented in good condition and with a comprehensive main dealer service history from new. Under the bonnet is the 542bhp 5.0-litre supercharged V8, driving the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows 41,500 miles from new.

Launched one year after the convertible F-Type, the Coupe was first offered for sale in 2014, with ‘R’ variants such as this receiving firmer springs and a more aggressive electrically-controlled limited-slip differential. This car was first registered on 20 September 2014 and its log book lists just one prior keeper. It is now offered for sale by its current owner, who acquired it in January 2019.

All of the panels have good shut lines and panel gaps, and no signs of accident damage. Being a six-year-old car there are some blemishes in the finish, including a small stone chip and indentation on the passenger-side rear quarter, and a 3cm crease on the driver-side front wing. The Polaris White paintwork is in excellent condition, and appears bright and glossy across the entire body, with seller noting a 2mm stone chip on the nose.

The light lenses remain clear and free of any hazing or scratches, and the chrome trim and quad tail pipes present very well and with a bright lustre. The seller does note one chip in the windscreen, which has been professionally repaired. It rides on a set of 20-inch six split-spoke ‘Style 6003’ alloy wheels, which are in great shape, having been refurbished and finished in their original hue of dark grey with diamond-turned faces.

Moving inside, natural light floods the cabin, with this F-Type R having been specified with a full panoramic glass roof. Upholstered in Jet Black leather with Ivory centres and stitching, the 12-way adjustable R Performance seats present very well, with only minimal wear to the driver’s side bolster commensurate with the mileage.

The same Jet leather with ivory stitching is also applied to the dashboard, door pulls, centre armrest and the swooping ‘bridge’ between the driver and passenger seats, and the trim is all in great shape, with a smooth matt finish. Carbon accents adorn the centre console, while the door panels have gloss black inlays.

Factory-fitted equipment includes the 10-inch ‘Touch Pro’ infotainment system with satellite navigation and Bluetooth connectivity, the Meridian sound system, rain-sensing windscreen wipers, USB and 12-volt sockets in the centre console, front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera and climate control. This example has also been specified with the optional Switchable Active Exhaust, allowing the driver to fully unleash the roar of its 5.0-litre V8 at the push of a button, and the electric powered tailgate.

The car was most recently serviced by Guy Salmon in October 2019 at 34,338 miles. A scheduled fifth-year service, this included replacement of the oil and oil filter and a fluid level check. The differential oil seal was also replaced under warranty in July 2020 at 39,359 miles by Harwoods Jaguar in Croydon. Prior to this, the car received annual services per the summary below. The mileages show that the car was not driven between August 2017 and November 2018, when it resided with the first owner.

It was last MOT tested on 3 December 2019 at 35,041 miles; receiving an advisory-free pass after all four tyres were replaced. The wheels are now shod with a full set of high-performance Michelin Pilot Sport 4 S tyres with 6-7mm of tread remaining. Accompanying the car are all of its original handbooks and the stamped service book, with the service history also being stored online for easy reference.
