2014 FERRARI 458 SPECIALE

This Ferrari 458 Speciale is a sensational mid-engined supercar, finished in a superb factory colour scheme and specification, and with very low mileage. It is powered by the incredible 597bhp 4.5-litre naturally aspirated V8, coupled to the seven-speed dual-clutch ‘F1’ automatic transmission with paddle shift. The odometer shows just 7,044 miles.

The Speciale is notable in the marque’s recent history - along with the Aperta model - as the last naturally aspirated V8 Ferrari, so it represents the ultimate evolution of a bloodline that can be traced back to the early 1970s.

An original UK-market car first registered in April 2014, there are just two previous keepers on the log book, and the most recent private owner acquired the car in August 2018. It is now offered for sale by the trade.

Its Nero Daytona coachwork is reported to be in excellent condition, embellished with factory-fit ‘Scuderia Ferrari’ wing shields, gold NART-style racing stripes, and matt gold five-spoke alloy wheels. The brake callipers are finished in metallic orange, while the engine intake box and plenums are crafted in carbon-fibre. While there are some small stone chips around the front end from road use, this is a very well-presented example. It features front and rear parking sensors, a reversing camera, and the desirable suspension lift system.

The lightweight focus is particularly evident in the cabin, where the door panels are carbon-fibre, and the plush carpeting has been replaced by durable non-slip metal plates. It is upholstered in black Alcantara for the dashboard and outer seat trim, while the centre panels are yellow 3D ‘technical’ fabric. There are also yellow embroidered ‘Cavallino’ emblems on the headrests, and yellow seat belts. Carbon-fibre is also used for the gear switch panel, the dashboard inlays and air vent surrounds, and the Driver Zone with LED steering wheel shift lights. There are no electrical faults, and no dashboard warning lights.

The last scheduled maintenance was in June 2019 at 6,429 miles, which consisted of a standard engine oil and filter service. More recently, the brake pads were also renewed in July 2020. It has always been well-maintained, with other services over the last few years in April 2018 and April 2017.

The most recent MOT test was carried out on 23 December 2019 at 6,436 miles, when it achieved a first-time pass with no advisories whatsoever. The wheels are fitted with Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres, which the vendor reports have around 3.8mm-4.3mm of tread remaining.

Accompanying the car is the complete original book pack, as well as some maintenance paperwork. The toolkit and tyre inflator kit are also included, along with a Ferrari car cover.
