2014 BENTLEY MULSANNE 95 EDITION

This 2014 Bentley Mulsanne 95 is a stunning one-owner example of the exceptionally rare special edition, commissioned to mark 95 years of Bentley. Powered by a 505bhp 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine coupled to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox, this example has covered only 44,365 miles from new.

In 2014, Bentley commissioned a limited run of just 15 cars to mark its 95th anniversary. Produced exclusively for the UK market, these special edition vehicles featured a black ‘Flying B’ bonnet mascot and a bespoke finish to the 21-inch alloy wheels. Inside, these 15 vehicles also received numerous interior upgrades, including illuminated tread plates, custom ’95’ embroidered logos, new Linen and Imperial Blue interior hides. The wood inlays are made of near 400-year-old walnut, taken from the famous Fulbeck Walnut tree that fell during the great storm of 2007.

Within the limited run of 15 cars, 13 were painted in the officially available colours of Britannia Blue, Empire Red and Oxford White. However, there was one special order car finished in grey and this car was the second bespoke order, specified in Black Sapphire – making it genuinely unique.

First registered on 21 November 2014, this ’95’ has been in the care of a single owner from new, during which time it has been meticulously maintained every year, with a full service history. The vehicle is now for sale with the trade.

The special-order Black Sapphire paintwork presents in excellent condition, as expected from a one-owner vehicle with relatively low mileage, and the front end shows just the odd small stone chip. Its 21-inch alloy wheels are free of damage, and all panel lines and gaps on the bodywork are flush and even.

Inside, the Linen over Imperial Blue interior with red contrast stitching presents very well indeed, with only minor wear showing on the driver’s seat and rear nearside passenger seat. The carpets are in excellent condition, as is the headliner and walnut trim throughout the cabin. There are no known faults with the vehicle, and no warning lights on the dashboard.

Under the bonnet, the mighty 6.75-litre twin-turbocharged V8 is in superb order, and there are no known mechanical issues. The most recent fifth-year service took place at 41,853 miles during June 2020, which was performed by JCT600 Bentley of Leeds. Prior to this, the last two services took place in March 2019 and March 2018 at 34,320 and 26,170 miles respectively, again both performed by JCT600 Bentley. The most recent MOT took place on 24 March 2021 and resulted in a clean pass with no advisories. All four wheels are wrapped in matching Dunlop tyres with plenty of tread remaining. Supplied with the vehicle are the original Bentley handbooks, dealer literature, and leather pouch.

With just one owner from new and being the sole Black Sapphire car among just 15 examples of the ’95’ edition built, this is a rare opportunity to own a collectible Bentley that has been fastidiously maintained. Presenting in excellent overall condition, this Mulsanne would make a fine addition to any collection, and would be a deft weekend cruiser or cosseting long-distance tourer.
