2014 BENTLEY MULSANNE 95 EDITION

Built in 2014 to celebrate Bentley’s 95th birthday, this Mulsanne is one of just 15 examples of the 95 edition to leave the factory in Crewe. Powered by the familiar 6.75-litre V8 petrol engine, producing up to 505bhp and 752lb-ft of torque, this luxury saloon can cover the 0-62mph dash in 5.3 seconds and hit a top speed of 184mph. The odometer shows 33,217 miles.

The special edition ‘95’ cars came with a unique black ‘Flying B’ mascot and 21-inch alloy wheels, while the interior was trimmed with wood inlays from a near 400-year-old walnut tree – which fell during a heavy storm. The blue-and-white interior trim was a bespoke feature, too, along with the 95 logos embroidered into the front and rear seats. Given a number of additional options on this car, its list price when new is understood to have been more than £300,000.

This particular car was first registered in December 2014, and has just one previous keeper on the log book. The most recent private owner acquired the car in November 2019, and it is now offered for sale by the trade.

A very well-presented example of Bentley’s big saloon, this Mulsanne’s Britannia Blue paintwork is in very good condition for its age and mileage. The only real blemish of note is some lacquer peel on a front wing near the headlight. The 21-inch split-rim wheels look pristine, with no signs of any kerbing damage or chips, while the brightwork also appears to be in great shape.

The cabin is similarly clean, with no unusual wear and tear. The Parchment hide is original, along with the complementary blue hide and red stitching, and the ‘95’ stitching in the back rests gives this car a wonderfully bespoke aesthetic. Just as importantly, everything is reported to work as it should and there are no warning lights on the dashboard. As with all Mulsannes of the era, the cabin comes with Bentley’s trademark knurled switchgear and a central infotainment screen, as well as swathes of wood veneer and diamond-quilted leather.

A raft of luxurious touches and factory options make this is a wonderful car both to drive and be driven in, with heated seats and individual climate control for all four occupants, fold-out media screens and trays in the front seat backrests, rear seat entertainment, DVD player, wireless internet access point, and even a fridge and drinks cabinet between the rear seats.

The most recent service was carried out in November 2019, when the car had covered 31,112 miles. That work, which was conducted by the Bentley dealer in Leeds, included a routine five-year service. Prior to this, it received annual services each year at Bentley Surrey.

The most recent MOT test was on 11 September 2020 at 33,217 miles, which resulted in a first-time pass with no advisories – the same result as its previous tests from new. The Dunlop tyres are all in good condition and have plenty of tread remaining. Accompanying the car is the original Bentley handbook and wallet, while the car’s service history is also stored online.

A highly exclusive ultra-luxury saloon with relatively low mileage, this Bentley Mulsanne 95 is likely appeal to collectors as well as those seeking fabulously refined and stylish transport. The car has evidently been well-maintained from new, with annual visits to Bentley main dealers, and it now deserves to be enjoyed and cherished by another enthusiast owner.
