2014 AUDI RS4 AVANT

This Audi RS4 Avant is an excellent example of the high-performance estate car, which has been serviced by main dealers from new and remains in fine cosmetic and mechanical condition. On opening the bonnet, you are met by the 4.2-litre naturally aspirated V8, which sends 444bhp and 317lb-ft of torque to all four wheels via a seven-speed S-Tronic automatic transmission with paddle shifters. The odometer shows 62,070 miles from new.

Specified in the attractive hue of Sepang Blue with a black leather interior, this UK-market RS4 also features a number of desirable optional extras, including a sports exhaust system and adaptive suspension and steering. First registered in June 2014, it is now offered for sale by its second owner, who acquired it just over two years ago.

Today, the car’s bodywork remains in excellent condition for its age and mileage, and is free of any accident damage. Making an appealing change from the black and grey hues usually seen on many modern cars, the Sepang Blue metallic paintwork is also in great shape, with only a few minor marks to its surface, including stone chips above the passenger-side headlight and on the front bumper, plus a small parking dent on the rear driver’s side door. This impressive tourer rides on its original 20-inch alloy wheels, which have a few kerbing marks to their surfaces.

Inside, the ergonomically designed cabin presents extremely well, with few marks or signs of wear to speak of. Clad in black leather with light grey piping, the seats show no significant wear, save for some minor creases to their bolsters and bases. The glossy carbon-fibre trim on the door cards, dashboard and centre console is in very good order. While the vendor notes that there are some marks on the buttons beside the automatic gear selector, these are minor imperfections. All of the interior buttons, switches and electrical items work as they should, and there are no warning lights displayed on the dashboard.

This RS4’s most recent routine maintenance was carried out in October 2020 at 59,247 miles by main dealer Tetbury Audi. This included replacement of the engine oil and oil filter, the spark plugs and the front final drive oil, while the front brake discs and pads were also changed. Prior to this, Tetbury Audi serviced the car in September 2019 at 46,370 miles, when the gearbox, rear ATF and rear final drive oils were changed, and in July 2019 at 42,562 miles, when the engine oil, oil filter, brake fluid and dust and pollen filter were replaced.

The car has remained under a full Audi warranty from new, and has had three of its dynamic suspension units replaced under the scheme, as well as a full wheel alignment.

Its latest MOT test was conducted on 25 November 2020 at 59,699 miles, resulting in a first-time pass with no advisories. All four of the car’s alloy wheels are shod in Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tyres, which were fitted in April 2020 and have at least 6mm of usable tread remaining.

The car will be accompanied by all of its original handbooks in their correct wallet, as well as its factory tool kit, first aid kit and tyre inflator. While its service records are stored electronically, the seller will also supply printed invoices for its maintenance during their ownership.

Offering impressive pace, ample load space and an array of comfort and convenience features, this Audi RS4 Avant is a fine example of the breed. Presented in superb overall condition and with a well-judged specification, it will make a thrilling yet reliable companion, as well-suited to spirited weekend jaunts as it is to duty as a capable family hauler.
