2014 ALFA ROMEO 4C LAUNCH EDITION - 350 MILES

This 2014 Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition is an exotic and exciting mid-engined sports car, with remarkably low mileage and a great specification. It is powered by a 237bhp turbocharged 1.75-litre inline-four, coupled to the six-speed Alfa TCT dual-clutch transmission with paddle shift. The car has covered just 341 miles from new.

First registered in July 2014, this is an original UK-market car that has just one previous registered keeper. It is one of just 500 Launch Edition models built worldwide. The car has been owned by the seller for nearly three years, who has kept the car off the road in his collection. It has never been driven in the wet, and has just been put through a fresh service and MOT test for peace of mind.

The bodywork remains in as-new condition, with no dents or other damage. The Rosso Alfa paint finish is pristine, and the car has just been treated to a comprehensive detailing session to ensure it presents in superb order. The car retains the factory-applied paint protection film (PPF) to the front and sides. Its carbon-fibre monocoque chassis is visible upon opening doors, and gives the car a wonderful ‘mini supercar’ appearance from within the cabin.

The car has never been used on a track, and indeed has barely been driven on the road. Carbon-fibre trim is used for the headlight pods, boot lid spoiler, and wing mirror housings. The car rides on the original set of five-hole forged alloy wheels, which are in great shape. There is also a full set of high-grade titanium wheel bolts that come with the car as an extra.

Inside, the black leather and microfibre suede upholstery is in showroom condition, with no visible wear and certainly no marks or damage. It is accented throughout by red stitching to match the body colour, which features on the door pulls, steering wheel rim, and seat bolsters. Factory-fitted equipment includes rear parking sensors, cruise control, and bi-xenon headlights. There is also an uprated Parrot Asteroid head unit with satellite navigation, Bluetooth and USB connectivity. A small metal plaque behind the driving mode buttons confirms that this is car number 42 of the 500 examples of the Launch Edition 4C.

Its last scheduled maintenance was carried out in May 2020 at 339 miles, by Alfa Workshop in Royston. This consisted of an engine oil service, as well as renewal of the camshaft timing belt. In July 2017 at 325 miles, it was serviced by Palmers Alfa in Hemel Hempstead.

The most recent MOT test was carried out on 30 April 2020 at 339 miles, which unsurprisingly resulted in a clean pass with no advisories whatsoever. The original Pirelli P Zero tyres are still fitted to the car, in size 205/40 ZR18 at the front and 235/35 ZR19 at the rear.

The car is accompanied by all of the original literature and handbooks, as well as the extra Launch Edition accessories. There are two flip keys, a commemorative boxed and numbered scale model, presentation box and original key fobs, and the lightweight Alfa Romeo car cover. The battery conditioner is also present, along with the box for the Parrot head unit.

This Alfa Romeo 4C Launch Edition is a collector-quality example of an exciting Italian sports car, which boasts a supercar-league carbon chassis and impressive performance. It also featured in Hagerty’s ‘2014 Hot List’, named as a future classic. As a rare contemporary ownership prospect, it is hard to beat, and this particular example is fresh from a service in May 2020 and now wants for nothing.
